The Met Office has issued an urgent yellow weather alert for fog, warning Britons that journey times this morning will be affected.
The warning was issued at 3.27am on Monday, and is expected to continue into the morning.
Dense fog is expected in certain areas, especially across East Anglia where visibility could fall to 50 metres in places.
According to the MetOffice, "fog that has developed through Sunday night is expected to persist through the Monday morning travel period" so delays are expected.
People have been advised to leave extra time if driving this morning, and to check for updates on bus and train services.
Flights and ferry travel may also be affected.
