Royal commentator Charles Rae has launched a scathing attack on Meghan Markle saying she has "completely lost the plot" following the release of a video showing her dancing in a hospital room before giving birth.

The controversial footage, posted by Meghan to celebrate Lilibet's fourth birthday, shows the Duchess dancing in a black nightdress whilst Prince Harry stands nearby wearing jeans and a grey hoodie.

The video was filmed in a hospital room in 2021, shortly before their daughter's birth. Meghan captioned the post: "Four years ago today, this also happened.

"Both of our children were a week past their due dates... so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work - there was only one thing left to do!"

Speaking on GB News, royal commentator Charles Rae said: "I don't know what she's doing anymore. Honestly, she has now lost the plot. Quite simply, it really is amazing what she's done with that twerking video."

GB News host Dawn Neesom said: "Some people are still bleaching their eyeballs with it. They then went to Disneyland or Disney World, one of the two, and posted a fan. Charles, forgive me, wasn't this a couple that did the whole Megxit thing because they wanted privacy?"

Rae responded: "I mean, it's ridiculous. But we now have a situation where they went to Disneyland, and I've got no problem with that, taking the family as a special birthday treat for Lilibet, who's a real-life princess. She actually met the sort of Princess Elsa from Frozen, and it was lovely.

"My beef with this is, yet again, this is a couple who want privacy. And we've now got hearts over the pictures of the two children.

"I mean, these two kids I'm describing them as the jigsaw kids because you only ever see an ankle, a bit of a forehead, an arm, or whatever.

"I think they should at least let the world see the children. I'm not talking about every day, and I know they're not working royals and everything else, but it's been four or five years since we've actually seen the children.

"We saw one picture of Lilibet about a few months, maybe a year after she was born a lovely little picture and I don't think anybody would have any trouble with it.

"But you're absolutely right, Dawn. This is a couple who had to get away from the Royal Family because of the pressure, because they were living in a goldfish bowl. All the publicity... God, what's been happening?"

On the same day, Meghan had posted two additional birthday messages for Lilibet. In her first post, the Duchess of Sussex wrote on Instagram: "Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!

"Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!"

The couple also visited Disneyland for Lilibet's birthday celebrations, where the young princess met characters from Frozen.

Meghan Markle shared the video montage on Instagram on Friday night, showcasing the family's two-day visit to the California theme park.

"Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!" the Duchess captioned the post, which was set to Peggy Lee's "It's a Good Day."

Throughout the footage, Meghan maintained the family's privacy by obscuring the children's faces or covering them with hearts.
