GB News broadcaster Alex Dyke has delivered a stark assessment of Meghan Markle's latest ventures, suggesting the public "can smell fakery" when it comes to the Duchess of Sussex's endeavours.

Speaking on GB News, Dyke expressed doubts about audience appetite for Markle's content, noting that people "don't warm to her for whatever reason."

His comments come as the Duchess of Sussex announces the rebranding of her American Riviera Orchard venture to "As Ever."

Meghan announced the rebranding on Instagram, explaining that As Ever "means 'as it's always been' or some even say 'in the same way as always'."

Speaking on GB News, broadcaster Alex Dyke said: "I don't think there'd be an appetite for that with Meghan.

"I watched the TV show with Silvester Stalone the other day, which was good because I'm a fan of Silvester Stalone. It was just another version of the Kardashians.

"But the problem with Meghan, I think that the challenge is people don't warm to her for whatever reason, so they won't invest their time in it.

"I could be proved wrong. They can smell fakery. That's the thing that we all know people and presenters who would just say that it's entirely fake."

The Duchess shared a rare photograph of her daughter Lilibet running outdoors as part of the brand's website launch.

In her Instagram post, she connected the venture to her previous lifestyle blog, The Tig.

"If you've followed along since my days of creating The Tig, you'll know this couldn't be truer for me," she wrote.

She described the project as an extension of her "love language," encompassing food, gardening, entertaining and thoughtful living.

The rebranding follows her return to Instagram in early January, when she posted a black and white video of herself writing "2025" in beach sand.

Meghan's rebranded lifestyle venture coincides with her upcoming Netflix show "With Love, Meghan," set to launch in two weeks.

Netflix describes the programme as one that "reimagines the genre of lifestyle."

The show's launch was initially delayed due to January's LA wildfires.

"I'm thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California," Meghan said in a statement to Tudum, Netflix's official companion site.
