A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a British Transport Police (BTP) van was set alight.

One witness claimed they saw a person smash the window and chuck a lit cigarette inside the vehicle parked outside Clapham Junction station.

Officers then reportedly attended to the van with a fire extinguisher.BTP said: "Following this incident, a man was arrested on suspicion of arson and is now in custody."
