



Motorists are being warned that they could be hit with a recall notice as many of the largest manufacturers in the world identify issues with popular cars.
Car producers, including Ford, Tesla and Kia, have sent out recall documents for drivers amid fears that vehicle issues could increase the likelihood of an accident.
GB News has rounded up the most important car recalls of the past few weeks that drivers need to know about.
The Ford Maverick pick-up truck is being recalled
FORDIn newly filed documents with the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), almost 64,000 compact pickup trucks could be in danger.
Concerns have been raised in relation to an airbag indicator light that may be loose or dislodged and not visible to occupants of the vehicle.
Owners of 2025 Maverick trucks will receive a free fix as dealers will install airbag indicator light retaining clips.

While only 172 vehicles are part of the recall, impacted vehicles include certain 2026 Model Y vehicles, which the Elon Musk-led brand has pinned hopes on to turn its fortunes around.
The hose connector in the windshield wipers may become blocked, preventing washer fluid from reaching the windscreen, increasing the risk of a crash.
Tesla said it would inspect and replace the wiper arm elbow connector free of charge, with drivers set to receive letters by the end of July.
The Kia K5 is being recalled

More than 82,000 vehicles are at risk of being included in this recall, which could see parking lights failing to illuminate.
Certain 2025 K5 vehicles could have reduced visibility as a result of the issue, increasing the risk of a crash, which has prompted the need for a recall.
A software error in the Power-net Domain Controller (PDC) may cause the parking lights to flicker, meaning cars could fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment".
The Mazda3 could see issues with airbags
MAZDA
The Japanese company has identified an issue with the Sophisticated Air Bag Sensor (SAS) units, which may set an error code and deactivate the airbags, due to a low battery condition.
This could have catastrophic consequences as the airbags may not deploy in the event of a crash, further increasing the risk of injuries.
Around 171,000 vehicles could be impacted by the issue, with the North American Operations division of Mazda recalling certain 2024-2025 Mazda3 and CX30 vehicles.
The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq
GENERAL MOTORS
The US giant is recalling 41,376 Cadillac Lyriq vehicles (2022-2024) amid fears there may be a defect relating to the video display.
The NHTSA documents state that the vehicles may intermittently go blank while driving, with an over-the-air software update being launched.
If the condition occurs while driving, the vehicle's instrument panel, rear-view camera and other features would not be available, increasing the risk of a crash.
