NextImg:'It's heartbreaking!' Martin Daubney astounded as polling reveals staggering number of pensioners who feel unsafe in Britain

GB News host Martin Daubney has been left astounded after new polling revealed the eye-watering number of female pensioners who feel unsafe in Britain.

Reacting to the data accumulated by The Pensioner Vote, Martin declared that the statistics are "heartbreaking".

David Pinless, who conducted the polling, revealed that 94 per cent of female pensioners feel unsafe in the UK.

Martin Daubney says it is 'heartbreaking' that so many pensioners feel unsafe in Britain

Discussing the findings on GB News, Pinless said: "We have a Government that hasn't done what it said it was going to do. Stop the boats, smash the gangs.

"And it has done what it didn't tell us it would do, to scrap the Winter Fuel Payment, introduce inheritance tax for farmers, reduce disability benefits.

"So by any metric, they got in by deceit, but they're not doing what they should do, which is their primary objective, to focus on the safety of Britain's people."

Admitting he was "staggered" at the results of his polling, Pinless added: "I was staggered when we conducted this poll, especially to discover that almost 95 per cent of women over 50, in fact, didn't feel safe.

"Something has changed drastically, and so by any metric, this shows that something is profoundly wrong."

Highlighting the state of society in Britain today, Pinless said: "I have changed my attitude over the past few years in that, for example, I wouldn't intervene if I saw somebody behaving badly, for example, on a train, if they were playing live music. I wouldn't intervene.

"If I saw somebody throwing rubbish on the streets, I wouldn't intervene because I'd be concerned they might pull a knife on me.

"So that demonstrates a change. I don't feel particularly safe, and I'm a man.

"I don't feel safe in London, Manchester or Birmingham. I feel reasonably safe here in my village, but something has changed drastically."

Criticising the Labour Government, Pinless claimed the Government are using "diversionary tactics to make us think that they care about our safety".

He told GB News: "Unsurprisingly, women are now more against mass immigration than men. Indeed, as the poll shows. And another thing that's been talked about, if I may introduce the subject, was the eyesight test for the over-70s.

"This relates to safety as well, because in my opinion, if I'm terribly negative, I would think the Government here is introducing diversionary tactics to make us think that they care about our safety, when clearly they are not addressing the real issues that they need to do with our safety."

Pinless concluded: "More and more people feel quite safe now to talk about net zero migration, even mass migration, because people can see very clearly on their streets all the problems that we have. We have an epidemic of shoplifting.

"We have undocumented young men, some of whom are criminals, and people just don't generally feel safe. So they associated, rightly or wrongly, with immigration. And our infrastructure is crumbling."
