Donald Trump and Joe Biden have been confirmed as presidential candidates after the pair romped to victory in their respective primaries.

In a rematch of the 2020 election, the pair will be going head to head at the polls in November.

Republican candidate Trump said it was a "great honour" after clinching the 1,215 delegates required to secure the Republican presidential nomination.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the President Biden campaign said "I believe that the American people will choose to keep us moving into the future."
