A paedophile who was living in Britain illegally has been jailed after he sexually abused a schoolgirl and filmed his attacks.
Harpreet Khasria, 36, recorded some of his horrific sex attacks for his "own sexual gratification".
The court heard that Khasria, who was assisted by a Punjabi interpreter during proceedings, has no previous convictions in the UK but had overstayed his visa.
He was living in Britain illegally at the time of his offences after overstaying his visa.

Khasria made disturbing internet searches including for "young", "school girl" and "putting people in a deep sleep".
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard how a victim told police in December 2023 that she had been sexually assaulted by Khasria.
Images and videos discovered on his iPhone revealed he had filmed the abuse and made recordings of a second girl.
Internet searches showed he had looked for "how to behosh a person medicine" - with "behosh" being a Hindi word for unconscious.

PexelsProsecutor Andrew Baker told the court: "There was a clear interest in sexual activity with children, judging by his searches."
Khasria, of Sandwell Street, Walsall, admitted 10 counts of sexual assault and five counts of voyeurism.
The offences were committed between September and November 2023.
Judge Michael Chambers KC deemed Khasria to be a dangerous offender.
He passed an extended sentence of 17 years at the hearing on May 7.
Holly Kilbey, defending, said Khasria's wife suffered a miscarriage while six months pregnant in 2023, which had a "profound impact" on him.
This led to him taking sleeping tablets, drinking alcohol and experiencing a decline in his mental health.
Kilbey added: "He regarded the whole world as an enemy and was trying to deal with these feeling of loss."

GettyJudge Chambers said he did not "fully follow" how the "tragic" miscarriage could "explain or excuse" the offending.
Khasria must serve at least two-thirds of a 13-year jail term and will be subject to an extended licence period of four years.
The defendant was also made subject to a sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
Kilbey had said Khasria "is likely and will inevitably find the custodial environment incredibly difficult" due to his lack of English.
