A big-breasted mermaid statue will be taken down in Copenhagen after complaints were made about its "pornographic" nature.
The 13 foot tall statue, which moved around the Danish capital in 2018, was erected in 2006 at Langelinie Pier in the Danish capital.
The statue's breasts have been the main cause of controversy in recent years.
Following complaints that the Big Mermaid was too sexualised, the statue was transferred in 2018 to Dragør Fort, several miles south of the city.
It is now expected to be removed permanently after the Danish agency for palaces and culture said it did not fit with the cultural heritage of the fort, dating back to 1910.
However, its designer said "of course the breasts are big" in wake of the 13 foot tall Big Mermaid being regarded as "a man's hot dream of what a woman should look like".
Danish restaurateur, Peter Bech, designed the Big Mermaid and said he does not understand the criticism.
"The mermaid has completely normal proportions in relation to her size," he told Danish broadcaster TV 2 Kosmopol.

"Of course the breasts are big on a big woman."
The designer argued the statue attracted tourists and called the criticism "pure nonsense".
Bech also said that he wanted the statue to stay.
Politiken newspaper art critic Mathias Kryger described the statue as "pornographic".

Another journalist, Sorine Gotfredsen, wrote in newspaper Berlingske that erecting the statue "of a man's hot dream of what a woman should look like is unlikely to promote many women's acceptance of their own bodies".
Further critics have said the proportions body-shamed the majority of ordinary women.
Meanwhile, the Little Mermaid statue was erected in 1913 and based on Hans Christian Andersen's story.
It is one of Copenhagen's biggest tourist attractions.

Similar criticism of the Big Mermaid was thrown towards a statue in Italy two years ago.
The Mermaid statue with large breasts and a generous bottom was erected in the resort town of Monopoli in Puglia.
Criticism surrounded its reported large buttocks and soccer-ball shaped breasts as being vulgar and sexual.
A local wrote that the statue had "two silicone t**s that would make a plastic surgeon blush".
"It's a huge a**e that you'd never see on a mermaid," the woman added.
"At least not one that I have ever seen."
