Controversy has surrounded the Paris Olympics this year, as Algerian boxer Imane Khelif and Taiwan's double world champion Lin Yu-ting were cleared to compete at the Paris despite having been disqualified during the 2023 World Championships after the IBA said they had failed a gender eligibility test.

Some people have claimed that Olympic chiefs should reintroduce sex testing for female athletes to protect them from injuries as their testosterone levels are higher than their competitors.

Despite both boxers being registered female, some people have been questioning the fairness of the fight and have called for more tests.
