Greta Thunberg has been deported back to Sweden but refused to watch footage of the October 7 attack before leaving, a senior Israeli official has said.
The activist had tried to break the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip on board the Madleen, which is operated by the pro-Palestinian Freedom Flotilla Coalition.
Eco-activist Thunberg, who prefers not to fly unless in emergencies, was loaded onto the deportation flight from Israel after being detained aboard a ship intercepted by the Israeli navy in international waters.
Defence Minister Israel Katz said he'd instructed IDF officials to show the activists the full, unedited footage of the October 7 attacks as recorded by Hamas terrorist body cameras.

Katz told reporters: "Greta and her flotilla companions were taken into a room upon their arrival to the screening of the horror film of the October 7 massacre... when they saw what it was about, they refused to continue watching.
"The anti-Semitic flotilla members are turning a blind eye to the truth and have proven once again that they prefer the murderers to the murdered and continue to ignore the atrocities committed by Hamas against Jewish and Israeli women, adults, and children."
Prior to her detention by Israeli forces, Thunberg released a pre-recorded message on social media where she said: "If you see this video, we have been intercepted and kidnapped in international waters by the Israeli occupational forces, or forces that support Israel.
"I urge all my friends, family and comrades to put pressure on the Swedish Government to release me and the others as soon as possible."

President Donald Trump dismissed Thunberg’s claim of being kidnapped, saying: "I think Israel has enough problems without kidnapping Greta Thunberg. She's a young, angry person...I think she has to go to an anger management class."
A Downing Street spokesman urged Israel to resolve the interception of the Madleen aid ship "safely and with restraint," adding that there was an urgent need for "unimpeded entry of assistance at scale to meet the enormous needs."
Israel dismissed the voyage as a pro-Hamas publicity stunt, with a foreign ministry spokesman saying: "The tiny amount of aid that was on the yacht and not consumed by the ‘celebrities’ will be transferred to Gaza through real humanitarian channels."
A spokesman from Hamas said the interception by the Israeli navy was a "flagrant violation of international law".

A group of three other people on board the vessel who had been aboard the charity vessel also agreed to immediate repatriation.
Eight other crew members are contesting their deportation order, Israeli rights group Adalah, which advised them, said in a statement.
They will be held in a detention centre ahead of a court hearing. It was not immediately clear when that would happen.
Israel has imposed a naval blockade on the coastal enclave since Hamas took control of Gaza in 2007. Israel says it aims to stop weapons from reaching Hamas.
The blockade has remained in place through conflicts, including the present war, which began when Hamas-led militants rampaged through southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing more than 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages by Israeli tallies.
Israel's retaliatory attack against Hamas has since killed more than 54,000 Palestinians, according to health officials in Hamas-run Gaza, and destroyed most of the homes of its 2.3 million residents.

In March, Israel imposed a total blockade of all supplies reaching Gaza, which the United Nations says has driven the population to the brink of famine.
Over the past two weeks, Israel has allowed limited food supplies to be distributed by a new Israeli-backed group, a step Israel says is necessary to prevent Hamas from diverting aid.
Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas has demanded Hamas "hand over its weapons" and called for deployment of Arab and international forces to “provide protection to the Palestinian people".
