Swiss International Air Lines revealed its SWISS Senses cabin design at Zurich Airport today, marking the carrier's largest-ever product investment.

The airline's new Airbus A350-900 aircraft will feature completely redesigned First and Business Class seats when deliveries begin in October. This will involve changes like updated restrooms and fully flat beds, but even Economy Class will benefit from updates.

Boston will become the first long-haul route for the new aircraft this winter, with bookings already open for flights from January 1, 2026. Britons will be able to enjoy the cabin soon too, as the A350-900 will initially operate on European routes following delivery.

SWISS chief commercial officer, Heike Birlenbach, said: "I am delighted that, with the arrival of our new Airbus A350s, we will be able to offer our customers an even more personal, exclusive and individual air travel experience."

Travellers can enjoy more legroom and even fully flat beds in some cabins

The carrier's new First Class features private suites equipped with sliding doors that can be closed completely. Each suite includes a personal wardrobe, an expansive table, and a display screen spanning the entire width of the compartment.

Passengers will benefit from temperature-controlled seating, wireless charging facilities, and the option to combine the central suite for couples travelling together. The design incorporates warm tones and refined wooden elements to create a tranquil atmosphere.

The First Class cabin also boasts a distinctive washroom inspired by the renowned spring in Vals, Canton Graubünden. Its design features a dark slate exterior, contrasting with a verdant interior that evokes the spring's refreshing waters.

The revamped Business Class cabin caters to a range of passenger preferences with multiple seating options. Every traveller enjoys direct aisle access, whilst selected seats feature sliding doors for enhanced seclusion.

All seats transform into fully flat beds measuring between two and 2.2 metres in length. Temperature-controlled seating and wireless charging come as standard throughout the cabin.

The interior showcases premium materials in burgundy and charcoal grey, creating an intimate atmosphere.

Premium Economy passengers will continue to enjoy nearly one metre of seat pitch, maintaining the airline's industry-leading standards for space and comfort. The cabin retains its popular configuration whilst benefiting from the aircraft's overall design improvements.

Economy travellers gain extra legroom thanks to cleverly engineered seats that maximise personal space. Each passenger receives a 13-inch high-definition display, Bluetooth connectivity for personal headphones, and USB charging ports.

The SWISS Senses experience extends beyond seating, incorporating mood lighting designed to reduce jet lag and a bespoke fragrance created exclusively for the airline. All future A350-900 deliveries will feature the new cabins, with existing A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER fleets receiving retrofits progressively.
