A father has become an overnight millionaire after winning £1million whilst enjoying a round of golf with friends.
The Essex man in his 30s from Chelmsford discovered his life-changing fortune through an email notification from The National Lottery during a post-game coffee break.
The lucky golfer immediately asked his companions to verify the extraordinary news on his account.

The celebrations remained modest, with the new millionaire opting for champagne and a takeaway meal to toast his remarkable fortune with his wife and two children.
The winner said: "We feel incredibly lucky and fortunate to have had this win as it will secure our financial future as a family."
The ticket was part of the EuroMillions draw held on June 6, where the Essex resident secured his fortune through the UK Millionaire Maker feature.
