One of the UK's leading electric vehicle charging operators has signed a landmark deal to install new EV chargers across the UK in the coming months.
Instavolt has entered into a unique 40-year lease to build a Superhub with 30 ultra-rapid chargers at a site on the A303 in Wiltshire.
The Superhub, which will feature a large cafe and farm shop, is set to begin construction in August, with a planned opening in late spring 2026.
The site will be developed 10 miles west of the historic Stonehenge site in Wiltshire and will support millions of drivers who use the A303 every year.

InstaVolt has already received planning permission and a grid connection, allowing development and construction to accelerate.
The charge point operator will deploy large batteries and solar onsite, allowing motorists to benefit from discounted rates of 50p per kWh.
Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt, said: "Chicklade is the next step in our mission to combine scale, sustainability and convenience.
"With 30 ultra-rapid chargers and an on-site farm shop and cafe, this peaceful stop will become a vital charging destination along the A303 - a very popular and busy route - powered by the latest in renewable energy innovation.
"As EVs become more accessible and with the private sector committing significant investment, we're proud to be building the infrastructure that will keep the country moving."
The development of the site follows the success of InstaVolt's Winchester Superhub, which contains 44 ultra-rapid 160kW charging bays.
It also meets the latest accessibility provisions, including dedicated spaces for Blue Badge holders and extra-large bays for towing vehicles, vans and HGVs.
The A303 is part of the UK's Strategic Road Network, with the Government recently highlighting the route as a key access road for millions of tourists and freight operators.
Drivers will also benefit from new signage on roadsides along the A303 near the Chicklade charging site following an announcement by the Government.
Labour recently announced that it would be giving the green light to new icons on road signs on A-roads and motorways to help drivers identify where the nearest charging site is for them.
In collaboration with National Highways, signage will be updated on the A303 to identify existing EV infrastructure.
The charging site will be located on the Fonthill Estate in Wiltshire, which is described as "a long-term, sustainable investment".

The Estate also described InstaVolt as a "genuine innovator and market leader in the net zero mobility sector".
InstaVolt is the second largest provider of rapid and ultra-rapid chargers in the UK, with 2,034 devices, just behind the Tesla Supercharger network (2,121).
Commenting on the new Superhub, Future of Roads Minister Lilian Greenwood said: "Just last week we announced record discounts to help make EV ownership a reality for thousands more people, alongside making it easier to charge at home so more drivers can run their EV for as little as 2p a mile - that's London to Birmingham for £2.50.
"With a new chargepoint added to the network every half an hour, we're helping put range anxiety firmly in the rear-view mirror."
