A heroic delivery driver from Dorset has spoken out on his invaluable work with street signs in his local area.
Bobby Burden Brewer joined Andrew Pierce and Bev Turner on GB News to discuss cleaning and repainting street signs to embrace “English civic pride”.
He admitted to feeling “a bit nervous” about carrying out the work in the first place before asking himself, “who else is going to do it?”
Asked about “shaming” local councils for doing their job, he said some signs have not been done for “literally years”.

“It’s about civic pride. English civic pride”, he said.
“It’s about time we started doing up our streets a bit and taking care of them.
“Especially in Shaftesbury, the response has been absolutely incredible on social media.
“Over 1,000 likes [on social media] and I had a meeting with the Shaftesbury Town Council this morning and they will be getting me on board a bit.
“They said they will pay for the materials but won’t be able to pay me for the signs as they belong to Dorset Council.”
Also an artist, Burden Brewer has diverted his attention from painting canvasses to giving streets near his home in north Dorset a much needed refresh.

He began his hobby in 2022 while living in north Devon, before moving to Dorset last year.
He admitted the work can be costly with cash for some of the materials stumped up by himself.
“Most of the ones I do needs paint straight on it”, he said.
“I use the outside metal paint, quite special stuff, which is obviously quite expensive.”
Asked whether others could follow suit and help out in their own local communities, Burden Brewer said some have already stepped forward.
“A couple of people have come forward and asked, ‘how do I do this then?’, he said.
“All you need is a special paint and a steady hand. Someone has got to do it.”
GB News’s Andrew Pierce heaped praise on the Dorset resident, saying he should be given the “freedom” of the county.
