President Donald Trump is poised to sack the chair of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell.
After receiving a positive response to the idea in a room full of Republican lawmakers, the US President is prepared to sack Powell.
Speaking at the White House, Trump called Powell a "knucklehead" when asked by interviewers about the chair of the Federal Reserve.
The US President said that "we have a lot of people who want that job" adding that someone they would consider would be Kevin Hassett.
