Burger King UK has unveiled its most luxurious burger yet, introducing The Wagyu to British high streets.
The flame-grilled patty is topped with sweet, caramelised onions, pink pickled onions, rocket, crispy onions, and caramelised onion mayonnaise, all nestled in a seeded brioche bun and priced at £11.
Joining the Gourmet Kings collection, the chain's "most premium burger to date" makes traditionally exclusive wagyu beef accessible to everyday consumers.
Burger King describes The Wagyu as "a first of its kind for quick service restaurants in the UK", positioning the launch as a significant moment for accessible luxury dining.
While wagyu is known for its Japanese heritage, the crossing of wagyu cattle with British dairy cows makes for a "distinctly British" creation.
This cements Burger King's promise to "bring together premium global flavours with the finest produce".
An award-winning British wagyu specialist supplies the meat, with the animals carefully reared to develop the characteristic marbling that delivers "exceptional flavour".
Flame-grilled to "perfection" and "deliciously seasoned", the fast food chain promises to "take the rich, tender wagyu to the next level".

"This is a burger guests won't find anywhere else," the restaurant told fans.
Endorsed by one of the nation's favourite chefs, the chain's 'Not Made By Gordon' campaign playfully depicts Gordon Ramsay attempting to claim credit for the burger.
A brand-new advert shows the chef being repeatedly discouraged from the kitchen, with Burger King explaining that "the burger is so good, it tastes like it could have been made by a world-class chef".
To further declare his support for the new burger, Mr Ramsay made an unexpected visit to the chain's Strand location to celebrate the launch.

During this promotional event, lucky diners experienced both an early taste of The Wagyu and an encounter with the celebrity chef.
For those keen to sample The Wagyu, Burger King's extravagant concoction is available now across the UK.
However, Britons must act fast to secure the new offering, as it's in stock for a limited time only.
Initial delivery access remains exclusive to Deliveroo until September 22, after which all delivery platforms will offer the burger.
Praising the chain's latest innovation, Gordon Ramsay said: "Take it from me, The Wagyu tastes flaming great and anyone trying it will be able to taste the gourmet quality of the beef… which is so important for any great burger.
"It's amazing to see how Burger King UK has made wagyu so accessible to the public, and I absolutely love how the product celebrates the best of British beef farming."
Director of food development at Burger King UK, Christian Binney, added: "The Wagyu is our most premium burger to date and a true innovation that delivers gourmet flavour to our guests nationwide.
"From the dedicated farmers raising wagyu herds, to our restaurant teams perfecting the flame-grilled taste, it has been crafted with expertise at every stage.
"And when Gordon Ramsay himself says he wishes he made your burger, you know you're onto something special – having him involved really is exciting for us."
