



A British tourist has been killed after a late-night brawl erupted outside a nightclub in a popular Spanish resort.
The tourist, aged 30, was stabbed to death outside Oxygen nightclub in Calella in the North-East Spanish region of Catalonia at about 5am today.
The fight, which reportedly also involved other tourists, left a second person injured - who has since been hospitalised.
A statement from Catalan police, Mossos d'Esquadra, read: "This morning there was a fight in a nightclub in the city.

"The result of the incident is one dead and one injured, who has been taken to a hospital. The attack was by knife."
And Spanish authorities have already been in touch with the British Consulate in order to notify the victim's next-of-kin and return their body to the UK as soon as possible.
GB News has seen images of the aftermath of the incident, with emergency services surrounding the now-cordoned-off crime scene.
The Foreign Office has been contacted for comment.
