A four-year-old boy has died after being hit by a bus outside a hospital in Kent.
Kent Police responded to a report of an incident involving a bus and a pedestrian outside Queen Elizabeth Margaret Hospital shortly after 4pm on Thursday.
Police said the white single-decker bus was travelling near the entrance to the A&E department when a four-year-old boy left the hospital on foot and the collision took place.
Witnesses, CCTV and dashcam are sought by police so investigating officers can look into the fatal collision.
The boy was taken inside the hospital but died a short time later.
Police say his next of kin has been informed about the incident.
Investigators from Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone to come forward with relevant information.
"Witnesses, including passengers travelling on the bus who have not yet spoken to police, should call 01622 798538 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk, quoting reference KH//055/25," a Kent Police said in a statement.
