Millions of drivers have received updated guidance today regarding where they can park in Europe over the summer.
This afternoon, the Foreign Office introduced new information about using a UK-issued Blue Badge in many popular tourist destinations.
As part of the change, travel advice for Britons has been updated on the GOV.UK website on the "safety and security" page of individual nations.
The change states that if drivers are visiting these countries, including Portugal, they may be able to use their Blue Badge in some situations.

The Foreign Office advice encourages drivers to check the local parking rules of the nation they are travelling to before choosing where to park.
Some countries may require motorists to display a local parking notice, in addition to their UK-issued Blue Badge.
Even in countries which recognise the Blue Badge, parking rules can vary depending on the rules in different cities and regions.
Local tourist information centres abroad can provide advice for motorists on parking rules for people with disabilities.

They will also be able to help drivers with specific requirements or restrictions in the area where they are visiting.
It comes as millions of drivers prepare to head abroad over the summer holidays, with adults off work and children out of school.
The guidance adds that drivers should always look for any signage indicating disabled parking spaces and make sure their Blue Badge is correctly displayed.
In certain countries, additional requirements may be needed, including in Denmark, where drivers need to display a parking disc.
The UK Blue Badge is recognised in most countries across Europe, although drivers are encouraged to check before they travel to avoid any fines or issues.
France and Slovenia may not recognise non-EU-issued parking cards, while only some regions of Italy and Lithuania will accept non-EU cards.
Greece, Iceland, Luxembourg and Romania all accept non-EU parking cards, including the UK Blue Badge.
However, the recognition of UK Blue Badges across Spain, the Balearic and Canary Isles are determined by local administrations.
