All flights are on hold at Birmingham Airport after an "aircraft incident" caused the runway to be temporarily closed.
According to real-time data it shows that flights are on hold and others have been diverted.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause," a Birmingham Airport statement read.
"We will keep passengers already at the airport informed and those due to travel later today, are advised to check the status of their flight before coming to the airport."
It is understood the airport has been shut down due to a private aircraft making an emergency landing.
All departures and arrivals have been stopped until 6pm.
It comes after the private aircraft - a twin-engined Beech King Air - was heading to Belfast.
It declared an in-flight emergency and was diverted to Birmingham.
