GB News host Bev Turner has revealed she "felt like a stranger" during the pandemic after receiving "backlash" for her views on the coronavirus pandemic.
Bev told Neil Oliver: "I was just a journalist, and I was doing a lot of the rental gob stuff on those shows at the time, I do the press review on daytime telly. And this happened this pandemic, and I just started researching the facts, I didn't have to look very far to realise that what the vast majority of the information we were being given was emotion led rather than data driven.
"And I found myself on the sofa that day, and we were talking then about the vaccine mandates for NHS workers, and it was so obvious to me, as I said there, that you're asking healthy, young, predominantly women in that arena to take an injection with no long term data. So that was all I was ever really saying, and said therefore you had to balance the risk versus the benefit.
"And I felt like I was sat there going, the sun is in the sky, and everyone's going, no, no, no, the sun is not in the sky. It's like, the sun is in the actual sky, no, no, no, I think you'll find if you look out of the window, the sun is not in the sky. And I felt like this stranger in a strange land for so much of the time.
"But I was in a luxurious position in that I didn't have an obligation to a channel. And I look at that now, you know, Dermot was looking after his job. Alison's looking after her job. Matthew was, I guess, just much less easy to excuse because he was in the same position as me. And so I know they were in a difficult position. I've never received any sort of public apology from anybody, and I don't need it."
