NextImg:Aldi shoppers plead with supermarket as popular deli snacks vanish from shelves - 'please bring them back'

Aldi has discontinued its popular 160g packs of Deli-Smoked Pork Sausage and Deli-Smoked Reduced-Fat Pork Sausage from approximately 100 stores across the UK.

The retailer's decision to discontinue the sausages, once a popular choice, has caused uproar among customers.

The German discount retailer confirmed the removal of these items from many of its branches on X.

A customer, based in Manchester, posted on the social media platform saying: "What happened to these man. Just disappeared off the shelves. Please bring them back, I'm on my knees."

Responding in a subsequent tweet, Aldi said: "We can confirm this has been discontinued from our everyday range in your local region."

The 160g packs were available in both standard and reduced-fat varieties, offering options for health-conscious consumers.

While the products have been removed from approximately 100 stores, it remains unclear whether this is a temporary measure or a permanent discontinuation.

The move has sparked calls for the retailer to reconsider its decision and bring back the popular sausage products.

It follows a pattern of Aldi removing fan favourites from its inventory in recent months.

Last month, the discounter dropped a popular Olaplex dupe that was £24 cheaper than the original product.

In February, shoppers discovered that Aldi's £2.99 Liz Earle beauty dupe had been pulled from shelves.

The hot cloth cleanser, which many compared to Liz Earle's £30 Cleanse and Polish cleanser, was actually discontinued last spring.

Some customers only realised the product was gone last month.

The retailer also axed its popular Very Berry Muesli in February, which had been noticeably absent from supermarket shelves.

It's worth noting that retailers typically discontinue products based on customer demand and sales figures.

This pattern of product removals has become increasingly noticeable to Aldi's regular shoppers.
