NextImg:Aldi brings back 'beloved' Easter decorations that 'flew off shelves' last year - returning to stores next week

For those who have already secured their Mother's Day gift for Sunday, the next task on many shoppers' minds is preparing for Easter.

Aldi's popular Easter Gonks are set to make a triumphant return to stores next week, following their "sell-out" success last year when they were seen "flying off shelves".

The beloved festive plush figures will be available from April 3, priced at £9.99 each.

"Back by popular demand, shoppers will be hopping with egg-citement to find Aldi's beloved Easter Gonks are returning to stores this spring," said the supermarket chain.

Customers can choose between two delightful options for their Easter decorations.

The classic Gonk features stretchy, extendable legs reaching up to 129cm, a fluffy beard and a pointy hat - available in lilac, pastels or forest greens.

Alternatively, the Easter Bunny option extends up to 117cm and comes complete with a signature carrot and charming bow tie.

Both designs allow for display at different heights, adding versatility to seasonal home décor.

The supermarket described the plush toys as "the perfect addition to any Easter celebration, or to simply brighten up the home".

While many Britons will be snapping up Easter eggs in the coming weeks, Aldi suggested that the Gonks offer "a quirky alternative".

Aldi has warned that eager customers should act quickly when the items arrive in stores, though, as they take its Specialbuys format.

"Shoppers had better hop to it as with all Specialbuys, once they're gone, they're gone!" the retailer cautioned.

Aldi has unveiled the rest of its Easter range, with new plants, decorations, and toys starting at £1.49.

These will land in stores on April 3 as Britons prepare for their seasonal celebrations.

But shoppers are advised to act quickly to get their hands on them, as Aldi's Easter goodies will also form part of the supermarket's Specialbuys.

Specialbuys are defined as the "unique and exciting products that you find at Aldi - from DIY, kitchenware, garden furniture to sports, camping and everything in between".
