A man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting the alleged Clapham alkali attacker Abdul Shokoor Ezedi, police have said.
The 22-year-old man was taken to a south London police station and this afternoon was released on bail.
Police say they have new CCTV images showing Ezedi in the Southwark Bridge area at 21.50 on Wednesday.
Officers are tracking his bank card, but have confirmed that it has not been used since the evening of the attack.
Dep Sup Sewett added that it is possible that the 31-year-old mother, injured in the attack, may lose sight in her right eye.
She remains sedated and in critical but stable condition with serious injuries which she will have for rest of her life.
As part of their investigation, police are trying to establish how long Ezedi and the woman have known each other and what sort of relationship they had - as the mother is too poorly to speak to officers.
The Met has confirmed that Ezedi is not the father of the woman's children who were hurt in the attack.
