It’s the second debate and the same patterns are emerging yet again. The RNC promised that it would be different this time. There would be no more leftist moderators hijacking Republican debates.

Fox News Media’s Stuart Varney and Dana Perino alongside UNIVISION’s Ilia Calderón will be the co-moderators of the second Republican debate, the networks announced on Wednesday.

Why in the world is Calderon there? Do Democrats allow conservative journalists to moderate their debates?

Ilia Calderon is a spiteful and hateful leftist who previously moderated a Democrat debate. She has tweeted attacks against Trump and DeSantis.

But primarily Calderon is an advocate for illegal aliens.

Here are some of the questions she asked Joe Biden during a previous interview.

Mr. President, you promised a check for the families that are in need of that financial help. When exactly are they going to receive the $1,400 check? And for undocumented immigrants that are not going to receive this relief, do you have any plans to help them?

And to help the undocumented immigrants, many of them essential workers that are not going to receive the relief. Do you have any plans for them?

You can expect her to promote illegal aliens during the debate.

I can imagine some in the GOP are looking hopefully to Latino voters to sidestep the Democrat drift by a lot of white suburban voters, but Calderon is absolutely not the right moderator. Not only is she a leftist, but she’s so woke that she accused Latinos of racism.

Calderon’s presence shows that the RNC’s leadership has learned nothing from its past mistakes. And that bodes ill for the election.
