NextImg:Sorry Media, 81% of Americans See Crime as Major Problem

After such reality denial successes such as “the economy is actually great” and “really, Biden is sharp as a tack”, the mainstream media is trying out “actually crime is just fine”.

It’s not working very well.

Despite multiple media ‘explainers’, ‘fact checks’ and propaganda stories (many quoting Jeff Asher’s nonsense) claiming that crime isn’t real and that we’re all safer than ever (Biden took to claiming that we were the safest we had been in 50 years during his brief campaign), the public isn’t buying it. Why? Because just like prices, you can’t convince people that something they experience themselves isn’t true. That’s why you can sell people on the hoax that the planet is warming or that there’s famine in Gaza (unless you’ve seen the whole planet or live in Gaza, how can you be sure), but you can’t convince them that the inflated prices they’re paying are good or that the crime they’re seeing is not a problem.

Sorry media, you lose this one.

The vast majority of Americans, 81%, see crime as a “major problem” in large cities — a concern Trump has seized on as he has deployed the National Guard to the District of Columbia and threatened to expand that model to cities across the country. And his overall approval rating has increased slightly, from 40% in July to 45% now.

Trump’s approach on crime is similarly popular among white and Hispanic adults, with roughly half in each group saying they approve of the way he’s handling the issue. Black adults, however, are substantially less likely to say they’re on board with Trump’s approach to crime, with just 27% in favor. Trump also garners much stronger support from independents on crime than on other issues

There’s broad agreement among Americans that crime is a significant issue in large cities. That belief is especially pronounced among Republicans, nearly all of whom see crime as a significant problem in large cities. Roughly 7 in 10 independents and Democrats agree.

Americans who live in urban areas are also more likely to say crime is a “major problem” in their own communities.

They include Tiana Parker, 30, a liberal Democrat who lives in the suburbs of Seattle. Parker is dismayed by what Trump is doing in Washington, D.C. — and his presidency overall — but nonetheless calls crime “a major problem.”

“I don’t feel safe going to Seattle, especially as a woman, at least not by myself,” said Parker, who said she was sexually assaulted on the train several years ago. There was a deadly shooting at a strip mall near where she lives last year, and there have been several times she said she has been followed while walking down the street.

This is an AP poll and story, and the left-wing media organization constantly interrupts its own story to falsely claim that crime isn’t a problem… but then it has to argue with….

  1. The results of its own poll
  1. People who actually live in crime-ridden cities
  1. A liberal woman who was sexually assaulted and has seen crime on a regular basis

Whom are you gonna believe, the media or reality? Most Americans choose reality.
