Not since Cesarea and Lucrezia Borgia has there been a couple as cute and adorable as Alex Soros and Huma Abedin. He’s the son of a Nazi collaborator while she’s the daughter of an Islamist.

They have a lot in common like hating America, Israel, and sunshine. And seemingly little else.

At 47, Huma is nearly a decade older than Alex. But like the marriage of royal dynasties, their relationship brings together not only two very creepy people, but the larger networks that they represent. Among some elites, marriage is a political and social union more than it is a personal relationship. And Huma Abedin occupies a vital place in the Clinton network while Alex is his father’s current heir apparent.

The marriage of two evil empires is surely nothing to celebrate, but it is also just as certainly an occasion.

Alex stepped into his father’s greasy jackboots intending to put his personal stamp on the Soros network by focusing more on domestic politics and on personal interaction with elected officials. George Soros had whined in the past that Obama wouldn’t talk to him and the politicians he helps elect don’t listen to him. Alex has more people skills than dear old dad and what Huma brings to the table is a network and the relationships cultivated by being the right-hand woman, and who knows what else, to a presidential nominee, the wife of a former president, and the public face of a vast and powerful political network.

So you can see what brought this lovely couple together. Like the Borgias, it’s about the power. Isn’t it romantic?
