Politics gets worse, not better.

The race to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein before she Bidens it has come down to Rep. Adam Schiff, a smug witchhunter, Rep. Katie Porter, an even smugger and more obnoxious socialist witch, and Rep. Barbara Lee, an ancient and venerable Communist black nationalist.

“Lee worked on the Oakland mayoral campaign of Panther co-founder Bobby Seale and served as a confidential aide to the organization’s “minister of defense,” Huey Newton. (Panther members at the time referred to Lee as “Comrade Barbara.”) After Newton fled to Cuba in the mid-1970s to evade murder, assault, and tax-evasion charges, Lee she twice visited him there. Decades later, in her 2009 book Renegade for Peace & Justice, Lee fondly recalled her affiliation with the Panthers. “Despite his roughness, my mother really liked him,” Lee wrote of Newton. And regarding Seale, she wrote: “When I first met him, he impressed me as being very nice—a leader always willing to give positive feedback to me and the other ‘comrades’ in the party. I was known as ‘Comrade Barbara’ at the time. “

Now, Comrade Barbara would like to be Senator Barbara.

In her long history of squatting in Congress, Rep. Lee has been resentfully watching other younger California racists, like Rep. Karen Bass and Rep. Maxine Waters, pass her by. Now the spry 77 year old comrade is taking her last chance at ending up in the place where elderly congressional delegation members go to sleep all day and collect foreign bribes… the United States Senate.

There’s one problem. No one is all that enthusiastic about putting yet another near 80 year old in the Senate.

Gov. Newsom agreed to appoint a temporary black woman, who isn’t running in the primary, for the virtue signaling points. Since Rep. Lee is running, the ‘caretaker’ won’t be her. And Rep. Lee knows her electorate in the Great State of California where Hitler or a killer asteroid from space would win 89-6 if it runs as the Democrat incumbent and has the backing of the community groups that it funds.

So Rep. Lee is very insulted that Gov. Newsom won’t bypass what little is left of democracy in Ballotharvestan and just appoint her Senator-for-Life.

But Comrade Barbara of Ballotharvestan isn’t offended on her own behalf. She’s not so selfish and greedy. But on behalf of all black women.

Lee, the only black woman running for Feinstein’s seat, issued a statement that she is “troubled by the governor’s remarks.”

“The idea that a black woman should be appointed only as a caretaker to simply check a box is insulting to countless Black women across this country who have carried the Democratic Party to victory election after election,” Lee said. “There are currently no Black women serving in the Senate. Since 1789, there have only been two black woman Senators, who have served a total of 10 years. … If the governor intends to keep his promise and appoint a black woman to the Senate, the people of California deserve the best possible person for that job. Not a token appointment. Black women deserve more than a participation trophy. We need a seat at the table.”

If the people of California deserve the best possible black woman for the job, Rep. Lee would rank near dead last, only slightly ahead of Madea. Does Rep. Lee really want this to be a merit contest to find the best black woman for the job?

Rep. Lee doesn’t want it to be a token appointment, but she wants the seat to be reserved for a black woman. Her. And she’s demanding the Senate seat on the grounds of merit which is demonstrated by not just being any black woman but a supporter of cop killers and a hater of America.
