Ahmad A. is a Muslim migrant to German from Saudi Arabia. In a recent interview, he praised a friend who was a jihad suicide bomber, killing six people and injuring 300 when he blew himself up at a Christmas Market in Magdeburg. Instead of any expression of sorrow over the mass murder, Ahmad praised Talib Abdulmohsen, the bomber, and wished only to express his disappointment that there had not been more victims. He sounds like a potential terrorist to me.The day after he gave that revealing interview, Ahmed A. disappeared. He knew how his words would be received, and perhaps regretted his explosion of candor to the interviewer. How will he survive, if he can no longer receive government benefits? Perhaps he will turn to crime — robberies and burglaries — like so many of his fellow Muslims now living in Western Europe. Or perhaps a network of like-minded Muslims will help him out, give him housing, keep the police from finding him.

He is an example of what is so wrong with Europe’s admission of millions of Muslims into its midst. Every Muslim wishing to be admitted to a country in Western Europe should be held in a prison while his or her asylum application can be evaluated. Those whose applications are denied should then be promptly deported back to their country of origin. Those whose applications are deemed to have merit will be allowed to stay. Ahmad A. ought never to have been admitted to Germany, never been allowed to receive benefits from the state, never allowed to taunt the Germany public with his murderous Islamic views.

It will take time and money for the authorities to now locate him, since he has gone to ground, and then more time and money will be spent by the state to go through whatever further legal rigmarole is necessary to deport him, and then to pay for his flight home. How many thousands of dollars will the German state spend on just this one Muslim whose asylum application has been denied? How many tens of thousands of dollars was spent on him from 2016, when he arrived, until now, in 2025? And multiply that number by hundreds of thousands of Muslims who never should have been admitted to Germany in the first place, and now need to be deported. A tremendous effort, a colossal cost. And it could have been avoided if the nations of Western Europe had early on, when it was clear long ago that it was Muslim immigrants alone who were not integrating successfully, called a halt to all immigration by Muslims. For as we never tire of saying, the large-scale presence of Muslims in Western Europe has created a situation for the indigenous Infidels that is much more unpleasant, expensive, and physically insecure than would be the case without that large-scale Muslim presence.

Wir schaffen das!” — “We Can Do This” — was the famous phrase of then-Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany in 2015 as she opened wide her country to a million, overwhelmingly Muslim, immigrants. Her message was clear: we can integrate these people, we can make them productive members of our society, we can make them law-abiding loyal citizens who will share our values, and so on and so naively forth. None of that came true. Muslims arrived in Germany to benefit from the largesse the generous welfare state provided: free or heavily subsidized housing, free medical care, free education including vocational training and language tuition, family allowances, and more. These new arrivals were in no hurry to be employed, given how much was provided to them by the state. Nor were they about to integrate into a society of Infidels, who as the Qur’an teaches are “the most vile of created beings.” If the benefits proved insufficient, Muslim males have found ways to increase their take, with street robberies, house burglaries, shoplifting, extortion, and drug trafficking. And if certain urges needed to be satisfied, there are always German girls and women whose western dress is misinterpreted by some Muslims as a come-hither look, but even without that look, female non-Muslims, “the most vile of created beings,” deserve to be raped by Muslims, “the best of peoples.”

More evidence that Angela Merkel’s “Wir schaffen das!” turns out to be not a rallying cry but a forlorn hope. The voters are turning to the anti-Muslim immigrant party Alternative für Deutschland, which out of nowhere has become the second largest party in Germany, because as Alice Weidel and her colleagues at the AfD know, and as every day’s crime news makes clear, “No, Ms. Merkel, you were wrong. We really can’t do this.”
