Dems have held Virginia’s 11th Congressional District ever since Gerry Connolly first infested it and spent 17 years doing favors for D.C. types and Muslim terrorists.
Like a good lifer, Connolly died in office and was replaced by his chief of staff in a special election that had all the drama of a North Korean primary (minus the firing squads.)
And yet somehow the media has managed to hype the election as if it were a Dem pickup or validation of something or other.
Democrats Narrow Gap in House After Victory in Virginia Special Election – New York Times
Exciting. Dems held on to a seat they already had. And a seat they couldn’t possibly lose.
Really, winning the 11th is more of a badge of shame. It’s one of the wealthiest districts in the country and it’s filled with D.C. federal employees.
The 11th embodies everything that Americans hate about D.C. and why they sent Trump to the White House.
There’s a reason Dems have a lock on it and that reason says every possible bad thing about the state of the party.
