The first shoe dropped when Kamala announced she wouldn’t run for governor. It would have been very difficult for her to run both a presidential and gubernatorial campaign. This was seen as a fork in the road.

The second shoe dropped a day later.

Kamala Harris announced Thursday that she will release a book recounting her 2024 campaign for the presidency.

“I believe there is value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what I know it will take to move forward,” the former vice president said in the announcement, posted to X. “In writing this book, one truth kept coming back to me: sometimes, the fight takes a while.”

It takes a while… does it? Like 2024 and 2028.

The book is called “107 Days,” the length of her abbreviated campaign, and will be published by Simon & Schuster on Sept. 23.

“Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for President of the United States,” Harris said in a video announcement on Thursday. “107 days traveling the country, fighting for our future — the shortest presidential campaign in modern history. Since leaving office, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on those days and with candor and reflection, I’ve written a behind-the-scenes account of that journey. I believe there’s value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what it will take to move forward.”

Why call it 107 days? To emphasize her main defense for losing the presidential election, that the campaign was too short and she didn’t have time to do it right. This time though, she’ll really bring the joy.

In short, Dems are stuck with a Kamala candidacy and having to run against a half-black woman who will keep claiming once again that if the public doesn’t vote for her, it’ll prove they’re racists and sexists.

Just what the party needed.

At this point she’s no longer quite a frontrunner, Buttigieg has been performing well, but she’s well in the top 3. Now she’s scheduling the beginning of her PR/redemption narrative for September. That means Americans are going to be hearing a whole lot about Kamala in the fall. And Dem party insiders are stuck with the nightmare of the Return of Kamala.
