The latest murderous terrorist attack by what appears to have been a “lone wolf” terrorist is reported on here: “Jordanian humanitarian aid truck driver kills two soldiers at Allenby Crossing at Jordan border,” by Darcie Grunblatt and Yonah Jeremy Bob, Jerusalem Post, September 18, 2025:

A Jordanian humanitarian aid truck driver killed two Israeli soldiers who were coordinating humanitarian aid at the Allenby Crossing on the Jordanian border on Thursday, defense sources told The Jerusalem Post.

The soldiers were approximately 60 and 20 years old, Magen David Adom said.

At least one suspected terrorist was killed; however, there may have been an additional accomplice, the sources told the Post.

Large numbers of troops are conducting searches at the scene, including Duvdevan reservists, YATAM troops, and forces from Battalion 47, the source said.

The assailant was en route to delivering aid to Gaza.

As soon as he entered the Israeli side of the crossing, he began carrying out the attack. He opened fire before reaching the inspection area, first exiting his truck, firing at all the people in the area, and then stabbing them.

An Allenby Crossing security guard, shortly after arriving at the scene, killed the attacker.

The IDF decided, following the attack, to halt aid entering Gaza from Jordan until all investigations into the attack are completed, Army Radio said.

The IDF wanted to make sure that the killer had no accomplices who might have let him know exactly when and where the IDF soldiers would be stationed at the Allenby Crossing.

In September 2024 at the same place, three people were killed in a shooting. The three people who were killed were all civilians, and it is unclear what their duties were at the Allenby Crossing. Were they too, aiding the soldiers to inspect the cargoes of the humanitarian aid trucks, or did they fulfill a different function?

And now, for the second time in a year, a Jordanian citizen has gotten out of his truck and murdered Israelis — three civilians in the first attack, and two soldiers in the latest attack, at the Allenby Crossing between Israel and Jordan. The soldiers were there at the Allenby Crossing for only one reason: to check on what the aid trucks from Jordan were carrying, making sure no weapons were included, but only humanitarian aid. In other words, they were there to facilitate the delivery of aid from Jordan to Gaza. They were trying to help, not harm, the people of Gaza. But no matter what their intent, they were Jews, and in the hate-crazed mind of their killer, Maher Al-Jazi, they deserved to die. Will the media reports on this attack — so brief, so unhelpful — bother to point any of this out? Of course not.
