Apparently Ibram X. Kendi — or to give him his due, Doctor, Professor, all-round intellectual giant Ibram X. Kendi — managed to convince the administration at Boston University not to shut down the Center for Antiracist Research that he founded, and mismanaged so badly that some $30 million in donor funds disappeared without any discernible research results. Of course, any attempt to fire him for incompetence and malfeasance would have led to campus riots and charges of “racism” being flung about, which all university administrators are terrified of hearing. His job, no matter how bad his performance, is safe.

Now Kendi has released a Netflix documentary that explains to white people about the history of racism in America, based on his 2016 book Stamped From The Beginning, allowing them to discover just what is wrong with them: it’s whiteness itself. Whiteness, you see, prevents white people from connecting to humanity. Apparently, over the centuries, white people have all along not been part of that “humanity” that they are now supposed to connect to, as outsiders, and they can do so, Dr. Kendi points out, only if they recognize the primal curse of being white, and learn to distance themselves from their own “whiteness.” Black, yellow, and brown people are all part of humanity; someday whites can be, too, if only they can cease to be racists — as all white people, without exception, naturally are — which can happen only if they follow the prescriptions set out by Dr. Ibram X. Kendi in his 2019 book How To Be An Antiracist.

More on this preposterous clown can be found here: “Ibram X. Kendi Gets Applause for Race Remarks at Netflix Screening: ‘Whiteness Prevents White People from Connecting to Humanity,’” by David Ng, Breitbart

He’s back. And this time he has a new Netflix documentary. Because of course he does.

“He” is Ibram X. Kendi, who is described by his collaborator on the Netflix film, Roger Ross Williams, thus: “Dr. Kendi is an incredible, thoughtful intellectual. He’s also the most banned author in America. He’s enemy No. 1 of right-wing conservatives. He gets death threats, he is really despised by them, but he’s just giving us facts on [sic] history.”

A fighter for truth, forsooth, who puts his life on the line, braving death threats to tell white people what is so very wrong with them, and what they must do if they wish to become “part of humanity.”

Ibram X. Kendi recently spoke at a special screening for his new Netflix doc “Stamped from the Beginning”, which is based on his 2019 book examining the history of anti-black racism. At the screening, Kendi received a round of applause after he called out white people.

“I don’t think white people worldwide have really reckoned with how much their own personal identity is shaped by constructions of whiteness, and how much that construction of whiteness prevents white people from connecting with humanity,” Kendi said.

“It’s whiteness that prevents that,” he later added.

“When you’re not able to see yourself in other human beings, that creates all sorts of problems. But not just societal problems, but personal problems, that I think hopefully this film and this work will liberate those folks from. It’s liberating all the way around. I think it will liberate all of us because we’ve all been told a lie about ourselves and other people.”

With that, the audience applauded Kendi….

I have no idea what any of this means. Only one thing is clear: Dr. Ibram X. Kendi loves the sound of his own voice, his own mountebank’s patter, delivered in a tone of deep thoughtfulness; his stuff reminds me of the sermons of that con man, Father Divine, who from the 1920s to the 1950s duped his fellow black Americans into sending him money because, after all, he was first a “messenger of God,” and then, after giving himself a promotion, he passed himself off to his devoted followers as God Himself. Anyone who dares to express doubts about Dr. Kendi’s intellect or his suspect relationship to the vast sums of money given to his scandal-ridden Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University, of course, is not just a racist but, in attacking Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, he of the staggering intellect, shows himself to be the very worst kind of racist.

How should we help Dr. Kendi to become an “antiracist” himself? How about suggesting that he stop attacking all white people for their “whiteness” — about which they can do nothing to change, nor should they be made to feel guilty about the “unbearable whiteness of being” which, he claims, prevents them from connecting to the rest of humanity? Surely this is as offensive and racist a remark as anything coming from the KKK’s former Grand Wizard, David Duke. If we observe that Ibram X. Kendi is a profit-making con man, squeezing tens of millions of dollars out of institutional donors to his Center for Antiracist Research, is that the kind of thing only a white racist could say? Isn’t it, rather, the unpalatable truth? Just ask the African-Americans who were fired from their jobs at the Center for Antiracist Research by Ibram X. Kendi, what they think of their rapacious former boss.
