On the recommendation of Attorney General Merrick Garland, Biden has stepped in to save death row inmates from the death penalty by commuting their sentences.

He commuted the sentences of monsters like Jorge Avila-Torrez, who raped and murdered 9-year-old Krystal Tobias and 8-year-old Laura Hobbs while they were riding their bikes on Mother’s Day.

He also commuted the sentence of Kobani Savage: the drug kingpin responsible for one of the worst crimes in Philadelphia after running what prosecutors described as “perhaps the most violent drug gang ever seen” in the city.

Savage murdered 12 people including firebombing a family of 6.

The family Savage firebombed in 2004 belonged to Eugene Coleman, his former confident turned FBI informant. In retaliation, Savage killed Coleman’s mother plus his cousin, his infant son and three other children. Coleman was in prison at the time… Khadjah Nash,10; Marcella Coleman’s grandson Tahj Porchea, 12; and a family friend, Sean Rodriguez, 15.

Killing kids was Savage’s specialty.

The 34-year-old man, a drug kingpin serving 30 years in federal prison for drug trafficking in Philadelphia, was caught on tape vowing to kill the young children of witnesses who testified against him at his 2005 trial.

“Their kids got to pay for making my kids cry,” he said, according to a copy of the indictment obtained by the New Era. “I want to smack one of their four-year-old sons in the head with a bat … straight up. I have dreams about killing their kids. Killing their kids. Cutting their heads off.”

Authorities allege Savage ordered a blaze in October 2004 to the North Philadelphia home of cocaine trafficker-turned-informant Eugene Coleman. Killed were Coleman’s mother, his toddler son, his adult niece and three children. Prosecutors say two of Savage’s fellow gang members set the fire.

Savage joked afterward “that barbecue sauce should be poured on the victims,” according to the indictment.

Savage also threatened to kill other witnesses, according to the indictment against him. “Them rats . . . they got to pay. That’s all I think about. They kids, they moms,” he allegedly told one co-conspirator. “I had dreams about hitting P daughter in her head, man. Opening her head, wide open with 40’s, dum-dums, man. That’s all I dream about.”

Savage also threatened to kill a different witness and his young daughter in 2004: “I’m gonna kill everything you love,” Savage told the witness, according to the indictment. He recounted to someone else later: “Yep. He’s got a daughter down my way, I’m gonna blow her little head off. She like five.”

Kaboni allegedly planned to have buddies bring camera-equipped cell phones into the courtroom during his trial to take pictures of witnesses while they were on the stand, according the charges.

This is what Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland chose to reward.
