Greta Thunberg’s Excellent Adventure and Media Event aboard the S.S. Narrenschiff has now ended. She had been joined in this publicity stunt by, inter alia, the Franco-Palestinian politician Rima Hassan, Thunberg’s BFF, who has attended pro-Hamas rallies in Jordan and blamed Israel for the killing of the Bibas family, including nine-month-old Kfir and four-year-old Ariel, who in fact were murdered — strangled — by Hamas in captivity. This ghastly crew also included the Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham, a German “self-described ‘activist’ who openly celebrates when Iran bombs Israel,” and Israel haters from a half-dozen other countries, including Brazil and Turkey. Videos show the commandos handing out sandwiches and water to the crew, and amusingly, Thunberg is captured on film eyeing hungrily the sandwiches about to be distributed by the Israeli commandos, just before the boat again got back underway to the Israeli port of Ashdod, where the boat will remain for now, and the dirty dozen of mostly dozy bints will now be flown home to their countries of origin. The Israelis did insist on doing one thing: they played for Thunberg and her fellow travelers a film showing the atrocities carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023, no doubt hoping to educate some of those who are now so supportive of Hamas. One doubts, however, that anything could change their minds in the slightest. In fact, once they realized what it was, they refused to watch it.
The media circus Thunberg and her crew were hoping for never materialized. No violence, no commandos rappelling down from helicopters, as happened with the Mavi Marmara in 2010. The Israelis did not use force, which Thunberg and her fellows would have wanted. Worse still, the rest of the world had other things on its mind, including, inter alia, the Tony Awards, the feud between President Trump and Elon Musk, the tariff negotiations, the expanded attacks by Russia on Ukraine, all of which took attention away from the pro-Hamas Swedish slattern and those “symbolic”cartons of aid she and her fellows were attempting to bring to Gaza or, more exactly, were bringing that aid in the hope that the Israelis would stop the boat, and they could then denounce Israel for “halting the much-needed aid.” Well, that much-needed aid was being delivered by Israel, through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, on the very day before the boat was boarded — more than one million meals, in fact. How many meals was Greta Thunberg bringing on her tiny boat? 500? 200?
The Swedish gazanaut need not worry about that handful of boxes of aid going to waste. The Israelis will deliver them to the Gazans. In the past two weeks, Israel has delivered more than 11 million meals to Gazans, despite Hamas’ best efforts to scare way would-be recipients by shooting dead a few dozen of them. Thunberg has described her brief detention as “a kidnapping.” No doubt others, especially at the UN — Antonio Guterres, Francesca Albanese, Tom Fletcher — will repeat this idiotic accusation. Unlike kidnappers, however, Israel asks for no ransom, has no desire to hold onto them; quite the contrary — Israel is eager to send all twelve members of the boat’s crew, these publicity hounds, back to their countries of origin as quickly as possible.
The Israelis released this statement on the takeover of the boat:
The “selfie yacht” of the “celebrities” is safely making its way to the shores of Israel. The passengers are expected to return to their home countries. While Greta and others attempted to stage a media provocation whose sole purpose was to gain publicity — and which included less than a single truckload of aid — more than 1,200 aid trucks have entered Gaza from Israel within the past two weeks, and in addition, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has distributed close to 11 million meals directly to civilians in Gaza. There are ways to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip — they do not involve Instagram selfies. The tiny amount of aid that was on the yacht and not consumed by the “celebrities” will be transferred to Gaza through real humanitarian channels.
No such anti-Israel publicity stunt would be complete without a statement from Francesca Albanese, antisemite extraordinaire, the UN’s Special Rapporteur for Conditions in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, who has issued this call to the world:
While Madleen must be released immediately, every Mediterranean port should send boats with aid, solidarity, and humanity to Gaza. They shall sail together – united, they will be unstoppable.
Think of it — hundreds of boats leaving ports all over the Mediterranean, each one carrying “aid” (which the Israelis will unload and make sure is delivered to Gazans), and “solidarity” (a morale-booster for Hamas) and “humanity” — I’m not quite sure how you send “humanity,” but perhaps Albanese can explain it. I gather it’s something that Hamas deserves but the Jews of Israel do not.
It won’t happen. There’s a weariness with Thunberg’s antics. And a growing understanding that the jihadists who want to destroy Israel are the kissing cousins of the jihadists inside Europe, who, through demographic conquest from within, are hoping to create a Europe where “Islam dominates, and is not to be dominated.”
