NextImg:Close to Half of British Jews Have Thought of Emigrating

Antisemitism is fashionable again. Oh, it was never really out of fashion, but for a few decades after World War II, given what happened to Jews during that war, its expression was muted. But you can’t keep an demonic thing like antisemitism down; it has 99 lives, and can shapeshift to accommodate a wide variety of accusations and bigotries. In recent decades, antisemitism has received a great boost from the tens of millions of Muslims now living in the Western world, migrants who carried with them, undeclared in their mental baggage, a ferocious antisemitism that Islam naturally inculcates. In the West, those Muslims have disseminated that hate, convincing many of the young and the stupid, among the indigenes, to follow their lead. The Muslims and their wiling collaborators join forces, showing up for mass rallies in London, Paris, Berlin, and New York, where they together scream their hatred of Israel and of Jews. They chant “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” which is a call for the destruction of the sole Jewish state and its replacement by a twenty-third Arab one. They yell about “apartheid” Israel, “colonial-settler” Israel, “genocidal” Israel, each charge more preposterous than the next. And they do not stop at denouncing Israel. They hate Israel because they hate Jews, and that hatred is no longer hidden. “Jews to the gas,” they have chanted at some of these anti-Israel rallies. Jews in Western Europe now wonder if they, or their children, have a future in countries where Muslims now greatly outnumber them.

The anxiety among Jews is perhaps most pronounced in Great Britain, where 500,000 Jews are outnumbered 10-1 by five million Muslims. And the Israel-Hamas war, following on the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, far from causing renewed sympathy for the embattled Jewish state, whose civilians were burned alive, beheaded, tortured, raped, and mutilated, has instead led to more support for Hamas, the terror group whose operatives committed those crimes. Close to half of British Jews now say they are thinking of emigrating, so great has their sense of insecurity become. More on this can be found here: “Half of British Jews ‘considering leaving the UK’ amid ‘staggering’ rise in anti-Semitism,” LBC, November 26, 2023:

A new survey by the Campaign Against Antisemitism is being released.

According to CAA officials, it shows that nearly half of British Jews are considering leaving the country because of the huge increase in antisemitism.

Binyomin Gilbert, engagement manager for the group, told LBC News that “we have seen a 1300% increase in anti-Semitism” since the October 7 pogrom.

The survey also shows that 69% of British Jews say they are less likely to show visible signs of their religion.

Moreover, “more than six in 10 British Jews have either personally experienced or have witnessed an antisemitic incident since October 7 or that they know somebody who has.”

The survey was carried out between 12th and 17th November 2023, with a total of 3,744 responses.

Gilbert continued, “This is not a situation that can continue. We have seen week after week central London become a no go zone for Jews….

Central London is where the gigantic anti-Israel and pro-Hamas marches have taken place, and where Jews had to tread very carefully, steering clear of those crowds, lest they be set upon. When 100,000 people are marching, and chanting their violent anti-Israel slogans, Jews don’t dare to express their own views. They don’t wear their kippahs or stars of David in public. They understand they have to simply stay well away.

Once again, the marches featured genocidal chants, Hamas headbands, antisemitic signs comparing Israel to Nazis and others caricaturing prominent minority politicians as coconuts, and the marchers who may not have engaged in these activities knowingly and readily marched alongside those who did. They are just as complicit….

Make no mistake: these marchers are proud to support Hamas. They don’t care that Hamas has beheaded babies, burned children alive, raped and tortured and murdered young girls, gouged out eyes, sliced off breasts (and used them in a game of catch), cut off genitalia, murdered parents in front of their children and children in front of their parents. None of that fazes them. Some are quite pleased that those wicked Israelis have been treated in this manner. Comparing Israelis to Nazis is obscene, but not to those who marched in serried ranks screaming their hatred of “the Israelis” and “the Jews” in the middle of London.

What do British people think? Would they be glad to see so many British Jews leave the country, where they have for many centuries been loyal, productive, and creative citizens, driven out by Muslim migrants who have been neither loyal, nor productive, nor creative citizens of the land where they batten on government benefits of every kind, regarded as a kind of proleptic “jizyah,” and openly declare their hope and expectation, through demographic conquest, to turn the U.K. into part of Dar al-Islam, where Islam everywhere dominates, and Muslims rule, everywhere? Is that the future the British feel helpless to prevent, or will they come to their senses in time,, and do the following: first, put a stop to any further Muslim immigration; second, deport all migrants who are in the country illegally; third, deport all Muslims convicted of crimes after they have served their sentences; fourth, halt all welfare benefits to migrants during the first five years of their presence in the U.K.? Such measures will certainly discourage Muslim economic migrants from heading to Great Britain. And that turn-around in their numbers should reassure British Jews who, god knows, both need and deserve such reassurance.
