After stonewalling as long as they could, federal and local authorities in North Dakota officially admitted that
Mohamad Barakat, the Syrian Muslim terrorist, had planned to kill thousands of people at a Fargo fair.

Mohamad Barakat packed three long guns, four handguns and a vest with magazines in every pocket, as he drove through Fargo, North Dakota. The Downtown Street fair, which claims over 150,000 visitors, was on its second day and 5 minutes away. The Red River Fair, which recorded nearly as many people, was two days away from ending and 15 minutes away.
At the official press conference, authorities stated that he had indeed been headed for the Downtown Street Fair.
A Fargo man who killed a police officer last week searched online for articles about mass casualty incidents and the downtown street fair, suggesting to authorities he intended to open fire on thousands of people attending the event.
The FBI found a computer in Barakat’s Bluemont Village Apartments unit, 2801 23rd Ave. S., Wrigley said Friday at Fargo City Hall. Barakat’s search history revealed he looked up “mass casualty events” and how to cause certain injuries, according to the attorney general.
The last article that appeared in his browser history was a KVRR article titled “Thousands enjoy first day of Downtown Fargo Street Fair.”
Authorities also confirmed that Barakat was a Syrian immigrant, but are still playing coy about his motive.
Authorities said they don’t know why Barakat was planning the attack downtown or why he stopped to shoot officers Friday afternoon.
“In regards to motive, if we had clear evidence of that, we would share it,” North Dakota U.S. Attorney Mac Schneider said.
I’m sure he would. Mac Schneider was a DFL politician who lost a congressional race and got nominated as U.S. Attorney by Joe Biden.
Schneider declined to say if Barakat was on the FBI’s radar. He also declined to discuss the guardian report.
If they had Barakat’s search history, odds are there is Islamic stuff on it that they’re not talking about.
But they’re still playing the game where no one can possibly figure out why a Syrian Muslim might want to kill a bunch of Americans.
And Barakat really seemed to have big plans for mass murdering Americans.
The propane tanks filled with tannerite, an explosive commonly used for target practice, were detonated by authorities, Wrigley said. There was enough explosive material to “disintegrate” the propane tanks, he said.
Hand grenade components, rifles and “an array of live ammunition” were found in Barakat’s apartment, Wrigley said.
