I’m not too sure Kamala can even spell AI, but I have every confidence that the most talented vice president since Walter Mondale will have no trouble adding something she doesn’t understand to all of her other responsibilities that she doesn’t understand, like illegal migration, abortion, election rigging and tying her shoes.
With people already suggesting that her word salad speeches filled with repetitive and circuitous phrases could have been written by ChatGPT, Kamala is going to make sure the AI pipeline to her piehole is secure.
The White House on Thursday announced its first new initiatives aimed at taming the risks of artificial intelligence since a boom in A.I.-powered chatbots has prompted growing calls to regulate the technology.
The announcements came hours before Vice President Kamala Harris and other administration officials were scheduled to meet with the chief executives of Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, the maker of the popular ChatGPT chatbot, and Anthropic, an A.I. start-up, to discuss the technology. A senior administration official said on Wednesday that the White House planned to impress upon the companies that they had a responsibility to address the risks of new A.I. developments.
Spokesmen for the executives tried not to snicker as the brain trust in the White House tackles this very serious issue that they have about as much luck understanding as a goat with a trigonometry problem.
President Joe Biden briefly dropped by the meeting in the White House’s Roosevelt Room, saying he hoped the group could “educate us” on what is most needed to protect and advance society.
“What you’re doing has enormous potential and enormous danger,” Biden told the CEOs, according to a video posted to his Twitter account.
Then he nodded off for a brief 9-hour nap.
The popularity of AI chatbot ChatGPT — even Biden has given it a try, White House officials said Thursday…
Given it a try? We would have noticed the improvement.
