No, not that Amazon.
Global warming believers keep telling us that the planet is in danger from people using too much energy, disposing of plastic bags, driving to work and… flying on planes.
And then they keep flying planes to bring attention to the danger of flying planes.
Biden has announced that he will become the first president to visit the Amazon rainforest. (I guess all the more glamorous firsts were already taken.
“After spearheading the most significant domestic climate and conservation action in history and leading global efforts to tackle the climate crisis, today President Biden is traveling to Manaus, Brazil, where he will meet with Indigenous and other leaders and become the first sitting U.S. president to visit the Amazon rainforest.”
A presidential trip anywhere involves massive manpower. What’s the carbon footprint on transporting the president to the Amazon rainforest? Bound to be pretty spectacular.
But that’s par for the course. Just ask PM Keir Starmer.
Sir Keir Starmer has been accused of hypocrisy after it was revealed the UK sent an incredible 470 delegates to the UN climate change summit in Azerbaijan.
Britain’s huge delegation to the COP29 talks has left a massive carbon footprint – despite Labour’s zealous drive towards Net Zero – and cost taxpayers millions.
The UK’s delegation included 354 Government officials or ministers. The remaining 116 included representatives from Crown dependencies and British overseas territories, business figures, policy experts and journalists.
The British contingent at COP29 includes seven government ministers, eight private secretaries, four backbench MPs and four peers;
More than 100 civil servants from Ed Miliband’s Energy department are registered to attend, along with more than 30 officials from No 10;
Both Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy’s official videographers are also on the list;
Do these people really believe flying planes is destroying the planet? Two choices.
- They do and they’re sociopaths.
- They don’t believe a word of it (and they’re sociopaths.)
