NextImg:Biden's Plan for Israel is More Islamic Terror

At a D.C. fundraiser, Biden criticized the Netanyahu government in Israel as “the most conservative government in Israel’s history,” claimed that it “doesn’t want a two-state solution” and warned that Israel was losing international support.

In Dubai, Kamala had already laid out what the Biden administration wants Israel to do.

“Five principles guide our approach for post-conflict Ga- — Gaza: no forcible displacement, no reoccupation, no siege or blockade, no reduction in territory, and no use of Gaza as a platform for terrorism.”

“We want to see a unified Gaza and West Bank under the Palestinian Authority, and Palestinian voices and aspirations must be at the center of this work.”

There’s nothing new about this. It’s the rinse-repeat that led to the current situation.

Kamala proposed reconstructing Gaza followed by rebuilding the terrorist forces of the Palestinian Authority.

“The Palestinian Authority Security Forces must be strengthened to eventually assume security responsibilities in Gaza. Until then, there must be security arrangements that are acceptable to Israel, the people of Gaza, the Palestinian Authority, and the international partners. And to reiterate — and this is very important — terrorists will not be permitted to continue to threaten Israel.

Third, governance. The Palestinian Authority must be revitalized, driven by the will of the Palestinian people, which will allow them to benefit from the rule of law and a transparent, responsive government.

Eventually, this revitalized PA must have the capacity to govern Gaza, as well as the West Bank.”

All of this has been tried. None of it has ever worked. Some of it led directly to Hamas.

The Bush administration, more specifically Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, had pushed for elections in the terrorist-controlled areas. Those elections put Hamas in power.

How does Kamala propose to handle the “the will of the Palestinian people” question? More elections? The Palestinian Authority refuses to hold them. And the only PA figure popular enough to win them is a terrorist leader serving life sentences in Israeli prison for his terrorist campaigns against Israelis. Most similar plans required releasing him and turning over the PA to a lethal terrorist.

The PA’s security forces are terrorists not any fundamentally different than Hamas. Israel had battled them during previous attacks.

The Biden-Kamala plan would be to repeat all the failed experiments of the last two decades in the hopes of arriving at a different outcome. But if you do the same things over again while expecting different results, you’re bound to be disappointed.

The Biden administration believes that defeating Hamas will clear the deck for the PA, but the reason Hamas had to be defeated was because Israel pulled out of Gaza and the Palestinian Authority held elections.

Now it wants Israel to pull out of Gaza and for the PA to hold elections. What’s the outcome going to be this time?

Netanyahu has rejected the idea of having the PA take over Gaza. It’s a proposal that’s unworkable for multiple reasons: including the reluctance of the PA to do it.

Kamala did not respond to questions about whether the Biden administration will reject an Israeli buffer zone in Gaza.

Israel was previously prevented from maintaining such a buffer zone. Had the buffer zone existed, Hamas would not have been able to react Israeli communities so rapidly and much of the Oct 7 massacre would have been averted.

Seemingly the Biden administration is open to a buffer zone. That’s about the only good news here. The rest is a determination to rinse and repeat the same failed policies that led to the current crisis.
