On the way out the door, Joe Biden is still acting as an agent of the Chinese government as the David Horowitz Freedom Center documented in our pamphlet Beijing Biden.
The media is hyping Biden’s thousand plus pardons. It wants you to look at Biden as a benevolent pardoner. But the devil is in the details. And here’s one of those devils.
Biden’s pardons included Ji Chaoqun.
Ji Chaoqun had been sentenced to eight years in prison for spying for China.
Chaoqun, 31, a Chinese national, was convicted last year of acting as an agent of China’s Ministry of State Security and making a material false statement to the U.S. Army.
He had come to the U.S. to study electrical engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2013. In 2016, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve under the Military Accession Vital to the National Interest program, which allowed the armed forces to recruit foreign workers whose skills were considered vital to the national interest, the Justice Department said in a news release Wednesday.
During that time, Ji was tasked by Xu Yanjun, a deputy division director in the Ministry of State Security, with providing an intelligence officer with biographical information about people who could be recruited as spies for China, according to the Justice Department. Those identified as potential recruits included Chinese nationals working as engineers and scientists in the U.S., the department said.
“This tasking was part of an effort by the Jiangsu provincial department to obtain access to advanced aerospace and satellite technologies being developed by companies within the U.S.,” the Justice Department said.
Biden also pardoned Xu Yanjun, who had been sentenced to 20 years in prison for spying on American aircraft companies.
Xu, the deputy division director at the Chinese Ministry of State Security (MSS), became the first ever Chinese government intelligence officer to be extradited and put on trial in the United States.
Biden just nullified all that work by pardoning Xu.
China has higher level agents in the United States than just Xu and Ji. One of them is named Joe.
