NextImg:Biden Lets Gov Workers Stay Home Until 2029

It’s only fair. Biden works from his Delaware home. Why shouldn’t federal workers? They have about the same level of productivity anyway.

Biden promised that federal workers would come to work again back in 2022.

During his State of the Union address, Biden had promised that, “The vast majority of federal workers will once again work in person.”

White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients promised in 2023 that, “we are returning to in-person work because it is critical to the well-being of our teams and will enable us to deliver better results for the American people.”

Count that as the ten millionth lie of this administration.

Not only aren’t gov workers going back to work, they’ll get a free pass until 2029. (Yes, you read that correctly.)

A union representing thousands of federal and government workers landed members a work from home deal ahead of the incoming Trump administration’s efforts to force workers to return to office.

The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) reached an agreement with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to protect telework, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing messages viewed by the outlet.

The updated contract, which affects 42,000 government employees, will allow workers to stay hybrid until 2029.

The deal was signed by President Biden’s former SSA Commissioner, Martin O’Malley.

You’ll never guess whom AFGE endorsed. Or maybe you will.

In his first term in office, President Biden has proven himself to be the most labor-friendly president in our lifetime. So it’s no surprise that he is the overwhelming choice of AFGE members when it comes to the 2024 election.

After a nationwide telephone town hall with over 20,000 AFGE members and two national membership polls that showed Biden to be the members’ overwhelming choice, AFGE’s National Executive Council voted unanimously to endorse President Biden in the 2024 election.

Biden enacted the largest raise for federal employees in 20 years, which took effect this January, and has proposed giving federal employees their largest raise in 40 years next year.

And exempting them from work.

Ironically the AFGE endorsement of Biden had the motto of “Let’s finish the job”. Federal workers not only won’t finish the job, they won’t even show up to work until 2029.
