In June 2024, the Democrats finally faced a reckoning over Biden’s senility, not because they didn’t know about it, but because they acted as if lying about it through the media would fool everyone else.

At the debate, they had to come to terms with the fact that the emperor had no clothes and no brain.

CNN’s Jake Tapper, who presided over that debate, has a new book out, ‘“Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again” coming out in May 2025.

That’s 11 months after the fact.

The book’s press release is full of purple prose declaring that, “what you will learn makes President Biden’s decision to run for reelection seem shockingly narcissistic, self-delusional, and reckless — a desperate bet that went bust — and part of a larger act of extended public deception that has few precedents.”

Biden’s mental incapacity means that his decisions don’t matter. And, frankly, little else could be expected from those around him who saw him as a meal ticket.

It’s a whole other story when it came to the media which knew about it and covered it up. And somehow I think the ridiculously ponderous titled ‘Original Sin’ isn’t going to delve into who in the media knew. Instead it’ll recite much of what we already knew, that his staffers took various precautions to guide him around, prep him, prevent questions from being asked, insulating him and denying that anything was wrong.

And they couldn’t have gotten away with it without media complicity.

After June 2024, the media took the lead in pushing this nonsensical claim of an insider conspiracy.

“Biden, his family, and his team let their self-interest and fear of another Trump term justify trying to put an at times addled old man in the Oval Office for four more years. What was the extent of it? Was it a cover-up? Was it a conspiracy? We will let the facts speak for themselves.”

The facts are that the media knew, covered it up, and once the cover was blown, began loudly blaming Biden and his people for somehow ‘fooling’ the media.

The media wasn’t fooled.

Most Americans quickly came to believe that Biden was incapable. I heard Democrats, ordinary people not involved in politics, tell me that they though Biden was senile. How did they penetrate this ‘conspiracy’ while CNN couldn’t?

It’s not a conspiracy when everyone paying attention knew about it.

11 months ago the conspiracy wasn’t exposed. 11 months ago the media finally stopped lying about Biden’s fitness for office. And now they’ll all write books acting like Woodward and Bernstein, when they were really the Iraqi Minister of Information shouting that everything was fine until the lie was no longer sustainable.
