NextImg:1 in 5 Dems Approve of Trump's Transgender Policies

Dems are still dealing with the fallout from the 2024 election and while they’re attacking President Trump, they still haven’t figured out how they’re negotiating transgender issues. And with very good reason.

Respondents to a recent AP-NORC poll expressed higher support for Trump’s transgender policies than for his presidency generally, with 52 percent of all Americans expressing support for his transgender policies and 41 percent supporting his presidency.

Among Democrats, 9 percent said they approve of the job he’s done as president and 19 percent approved of his handling of transgender issues. Independents expressed 27 percent and 48 percent, respectively, and Republicans showed the highest support for both, at 83 and 90 percent approval, respectively.

Sixty-eight of those surveyed said whether a person is a man or woman is determined by a person’s sex at birth, aligning with Trump’s ideology.

“Ideology”. Also known as medical science.

Democrats see these numbers and are worried. The split remains particularly serious on women’s sports, which is why Gov. Newsom was willing to voice skepticism about the idea of men competing as women.

The party’s acceptance of transgender ideology as a core part of identity politics has made it nearly impossible for them to pivot and so they’ve settled for trying not to talk about it or pretending that it’s a non-issue.

But that’s not working.
