Democrats postpone "Sister Souljah" moment to defend L.A. riots.

CNN "extremism" expert goes dark amid outburst of left-wing violence.

Martha's Vineyard residents struggle to cope without illegal immigrants.

Greta Thunberg endures the unimaginable.

It's Friday, June 13, 2025

So much for that.

Remember when mainstream journalists, who promised to do better after aiding and abetting the cover-up of Joe Biden's decline, were praising Democrats for having a "Sista Souljah moment" and attempting to "ratchet back a leftward lurch on social issues some in the party say cost them the November election"?

That was Saturday, just as things were starting to kick off in Los Angeles. But as soon as the mostly peaceful left-wing hooligans started burning cars, hurling bricks at law enforcement, and looting local shops in solidarity with illegal immigrant pedophiles, Democrats and their journalist friends instantly reverted to form.

On Thursday, Democrats in Congress defended "sanctuary cities" and described immigration enforcement officers as "thugs" and compared them to the Gestapo rounding up Jews in Poland. A congresswoman from California went on CNN to denounce the deportation efforts as "domestic terrorism." Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.)  insisted there was "no violence" in Los Angeles, while the city's mayor, Karen Bass, said the (violent) unrest was an inevitable response to federal authorities trying to enforce immigration law.

Reality check: "The American electorate believe that the Democrats don't have a clue on the issue of immigration," CNN pollster Harry Enten said this week, noting popular support for Trump's deportation policies. Andrew Bates, the "Baghdad Bob" of the Biden White House, went on MSNBC and said the president "knows he is losing support." In other words, Trump is definitely winning.

Heckler detained for disrupting press conference: Sen. Alex Padilla (D., Calif.) made a scene Thursday in an effort to be forcibly removed from a Homeland Security briefing in Los Angeles. By sheer coincidence, a member of Padilla's staff was there to record the outburst. Democrats and journalists were giddy with performative rage. Mission accomplished. Now the American public has an even better understanding of the Democratic Party's passion for illegal immigration.

Cheap fake it till you make it: Some journalists defended the riots and slammed Republicans for noticing, while others just pretended they weren't happening. Earlier this week, CNN's Brian Stelter reported that most L.A. residents "were having a perfectly normal day." He blamed "unvetted social media accounts" for blowing things out of proportion. A couple hours later, Mayor Bass declared a curfew and warned residents to avoid the downtown area in response to "bad actors" who had caused "significant damage."

Stelter, who eagerly regurgitated the Biden's administration's absurd spin regarding "cheap fake" videos of the president looking lost and confused, went on to imply that footage from the L.A. riots was also dangerously misleading. The so-called journalist, sometimes referred to as "Humpty Dumpty" on account of his likeness to the anthropomorphic nursery rhyme character, warned viewers to "be careful at a delicate moment like this" because some videos circulating on social media could be "hours old, or even days old," which could "give people a false impression of what's actually happening."

Never to be outdone in the field of elite condescension, the New Yorker published a cartoon attempting to mock Trump for deploying the National Guard against "protesters" who were merely "doing some sort of joyful synchronized dance."

Extreme journalism: Donie O'Sullivan is a senior correspondent for CNN who covers political "extremism" in America, but he doesn't seem to have noticed the recent outburst of extreme left-wing violence. Two Israeli embassy officials were gunned down in D.C. by a radical leftist shouting "Free Palestine." More than a dozen peaceful protesters (including a Holocaust survivor) were injured in a homemade flamethrower attack in Colorado. Left-wing hoodlums are rampaging in Los Angeles.

While all this has been going on, O'Sullivan was hard at work covering the defamation trial of MyPillow founder Mike Lindell, and attending a UFO conference in the California desert, where he interviewed a "UFO lobbyist" who predicted that Donald Trump would soon confirm the existence of alien life. The esteemed journalist, who earned an Emmy nomination for his coverage of "far-right extremists," has argued there "isn't exactly an equivalent on the left" when it comes to political extremism. O'Sullivan recently interviewed Taylor Lorenz, the deranged left-wing journalist, and chuckled heartily when Lorenz described Luigi Mangione, the assassin who gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, as a "morally good man, which is hard to find."

Correction of the week: The Washington Post naturally assumed that George Wallace, the segregationist governor of Alabama, was a Republican.

New style guide just dropped: It appears the mainstream media is no longer referring to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the alleged human trafficker deported to El Salvador in March, as a "Maryland man." Politico reported this week that the "the illegally deported Salvadoran man," who was returned to the United States last week to face criminal charges, is asking to be released from custody while he awaits trial.

The ugly face of liberal smugness: It would be hard to script a scene that better illustrates the Democratic Party's sneering disdain for normal Americans who just want to get to work on time. In New York City earlier this week, a woman of color was filmed lashing out at a couple of preening white liberals who were blocking traffic as part of an anti-ICE protest. "I have a kid and I need to get to work," the woman pleaded. A female protester explained that the young mother was going to have to suck it up for the greater good. "I can't help you," she said. "This is what's going to happen right now."

A reporter asked the idiot protesters, who evidently did not have anywhere else to be that day, how they felt about "stopping a black woman from going to work." A dude with a hideous man bun mocked the hardworking mother to her face. "Oh no, not work," he moaned sarcastically. "I care so much."

Ladies and gentleman, the Democrats: Let's check in on the party's campaign to win back male voters. The DNC finally got rid of David Hogg, the adult child activist who was elected vice chair earlier this year—notwithstanding his complaints about there being "enough straight white men in power." The DNC didn't remove Hogg because he's annoying, but because its members voted to annul his election due to a procedural mishap that "mistakenly created an advantage" for male candidates in violation of party rules that "require equal gender representation." DNC chair Ken Martin was so fed up with the petty infighting he told party leaders in a private call last month: "I don't know if I wanna do this anymore."

In related news, Republicans trounced the Democrats 13-2 in this year's congressional baseball game. Democrats haven't won the annual contest since 2019. On a positive note, we've now gone eight years without a left-wing activist trying to murder Republicans by shooting a practice session.

Speaking of smug liberals, the noble elites of Martha's Vineyard—site of the Obama family's $20 million oceanfront estate—are struggling to cope after immigration authorities conducted a series of raids on the island. The Washington Free Beacon was on the ground, documenting the carnage:

Minutes (that felt like hours) later, we joined a makeshift caravan headed farther south to Turkeyland Cove, site of the Obama estate. An older gentleman in a "Wall Street Swingers for Harris" T-shirt unburdened himself at our behest. He appeared to have gone days without bathing, botoxing, or even golfing, and had the vacant gaze of a dumb redneck who'd lost everything in Hurricane Helene. Alas, this poor man—who asked to be referred to as "Alpha Daddy"—actually mattered.

Alpha Daddy recounted the unspeakable trauma he had endured. When the federals came knocking, the renovation of his oceanfront guesthouse was only halfway done. The Swedish-engineered infrared sauna had just been delivered, but not yet installed. The crew’s foreman was taken away in cuffs, while the others fled to parts unknown. He also lost a private chef, two maids, three helicopter pilots, a sommelier/stable master, his live-in mistress, and the secret child his wife didn’t know about. When ICE agents raided the Edgartown Yacht Club and took the shoeshine boy into custody, Alpha Daddy was forced to socialize in the formal dining room with a half-shined pair of Ferragamo driving moccasins.

"It’s Hell on Earth," he grumbled. "Like 9/11 and Pearl Harbor combined."

Obama update: The Atlantic reports that liberal activists are mad that former president Barack Obama isn't doing more to help them fight back against Trump's fascist assault on democracy, or whatever. They don't seem to care that he'd rather spend his time making obscene amounts of money and hanging out with celebrities. Last month, for example, Obama jetted off to Norway to visit "the summer estate of his old friend King Harald V," where he enjoyed fresh local salmon "seasoned with herbs from the royal garden."

Israel tortures autistic child: Greta Thunberg was the victim of a genocidal war crime this week after Israeli forces intercepted her resistance yacht near Gaza. The 22-year-old child activist, who suffers from severe mental anguish due to her obsession with climate change, was ruthlessly taunted by her captors, who gave her food and water in plastic containers—a major contributor to ocean pollution and fossil fuel consumption. Adding insult to injury, the sadistic Israelis deported her to France on a gas-guzzling jumbo jet. In what some experts have described as an act of torture, Thunberg was placed in an aisle seat in the row before the lavatory, meaning she might have been unable to recline and would have had to strain her neck in order to see out the window.

In other news: Hamas, the terrorist group that started the war in Gaza, hunted down a group of humanitarian workers this week, killing eight and wounding many others. Leaders of the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, created to prevent Hamas from intercepting aid shipments, said they feared some of their employees had been taken hostage.

Republican or divorcé? The race is on to see which of these John Fetterman will become first. The Democratic senator was spotted having dinner with former Trump adviser Stephen Bannon and Breitbart correspondent Matthew Boyle on Monday, the night of his 17th wedding anniversary. Fetterman's wife, Gisele, fled to Canada with their children after the senator checked himself into the hospital for depression in 2023.

The more you know: Donald Trump played the flute, widely regarded as the most masculine instrument.
