Violence against pro-life advocates outside abortion facilities is on the rise. People engaged in peaceful sidewalk counseling or prayer are being attacked by passersby who disagree with their stance. Sidewalk Advocates for Life provides training and support to those who want to offer help to women in crisis. Despite being peaceful and law-abiding, pro-life advocates are often subjected to assault without legal consequences. This double standard needs to end.
The Federalist: How Woke Lefties Ruined Aspen
Glenn Beaton's book, "High Attitude: How Woke Liberals Ruined Aspen," uncovers the decline of the famous mountain town through biting sarcasm. From the silver boom to the rise of skiing, Aspen's history is intertwined with its downfall. Drug abuse, lax law enforcement, and the privilege of the left-wing elites all contribute to the sad state of the once prestigious town. However, Beaton's humorous writing makes this ugly truth bearable to read.

The Federalist: Is Digital Gold The Solution To Democrats' Digital Dollar?
Governments want to establish Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) to have more control and traceability than cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. President Joe Biden's executive order highlights their plans for CBDCs, but Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed bills preventing their use in the state. China sees the potential for absolute control with CBDCs, while author Kevin Freeman proposes a bullion-backed digital currency as an alternative. Freeman suggests using Glint, an app that allows users to buy gold and use it as a method of payment, but legal tender status would be necessary to eliminate IRS reporting requirements. Freeman also warns of unsustainable debt and China's competition to dethrone the dollar. He suggests that states, led by Texas, develop their own gold- and silver-backed legal tender as a backup plan. However, gold and silver have drawbacks and are subject to supply and demand, as well as usage for jewelry and industrial purposes. Despite this, Freeman's idea offers a practical, constitutional pathway for states to create an alternative system of exchange and prevent the creation of a federal CBDC.
