‘Anatomy of a Fall’ Wins Cannes Palme d’Or; Justine Triet Becomes 3rd Woman to Win Festival's Top Honor
The Palme d'Or was awarded to Justine Triet's "Anatomy of a Fall," a French courtroom drama, becoming only the third film directed by a woman to win the coveted prize. Cannes' Grand Prix went to Jonathan Glazer's "The Zone of Interest," an adaptation of Martin Amis’s book about a German family living next to Auschwitz. Female directors helmed seven out of 21 competition films at the festival, with the protests denied and repressed in a shocking way by the government, Triet said, reflecting on the impact of the reforms to pension plans and the retirement age. This award is dedicated to all the young women and men who cannot manage to shoot films today.

Billionaire Climate Activist Mike Cannon-Brookes Buys Collapsed Australian Mega Solar Project
Helietta Holdings, an investment vehicle controlled by Australian tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes' Grok Ventures, has agreed to acquire the assets of Sun Cable, the world's largest solar energy initiative. The A$30 billion ($20 billion) project, which involves plans to export solar-generated electricity from Australia to Singapore via a 4,200-kilometer undersea cable, was disrupted after Sun Cable went into voluntary administration in January due to shareholder disagreements. Cannon-Brookes intends to proceed with plans to deliver 900 megawatts of electricity to Darwin and 1.8 gigawatts to Singapore, once the agreement is completed.

PJ Media: Leftists Shouldn't Be Called 'Progressives.' Here's Why.
Leftists Shouldn't Be Called 'Progressives.' Here's Why.
Leftist politicians like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders are not true "progressives" as they claim to be. Labeling them as such is misleading and dangerous. The Left manipulates language to push their agenda, using terms like "gender-affirming care" and "women's healthcare" to mask the truth of their actions such as promoting mutilation and abortion respectively. The term "progressives" suggests that their ideologies are on the right side of history. However, this is the fallacy of Marxist thought, which wrongly claims an inevitable progression towards a just and equal society. Patriots should reject this usage and call them what they really are: statists, enemies of freedom, and advocates of government control.
