The American Spectator: Memorial Day: “Jazz” Finally at Rest
Memorial Day: “Jazz” Finally at Rest
After a long and unnecessary 16-month wait, Robert "Jazz" Jasinski's remains were finally given their rightful place among his peers at Arlington National Cemetery. The three-year backlog of burials at the cemetery is a national disgrace, especially on this Memorial Day weekend. Millions pour over the southern border illegally while veterans wait in line for a proper burial at the nation's most hallowed ground-- all while the current administration is devoid of wisdom.

The American Spectator: Trump, DeSantis, and the Dangers of Blind Loyalty
Trump, DeSantis, and the Dangers of Blind Loyalty
Former President Trump and his supporters have accused Florida Governor Ron DeSantis of disloyalty for entering the race for the GOP presidential nomination. However, DeSantis owes Trump no feudal fealty, and any aversion to genuine competition between candidates during the GOP primaries reinforces the Democrats' portrayal of "MAGA Republicans" as a threat to democracy. The Republican Party needs more disloyalty, and GOP voters must offer the country a nominee with a positive vision and coherent plan to make Biden a one-term president.

DeSantis is the only candidate who can implement his beliefs and convert them into action, and his super PAC, Never Back Down, is ahead in organizing his ground game, setting up many tasks usually reserved for the campaign itself. However, DeSantis is not immune to attacks from the Democrats and the corporate media, nor the possibility that some of Trump's most loyal supporters will sit out the election if he isn't the nominee. Trump deserves loyalty, but in 2024, there is no substitute for victory, and any Republican who does not vote because his candidate didn't win the nomination is, for all intents and purposes, voting for Biden and his regime.

Front Page Magazine: The Left Has Pushed the Envelope
The Left Has Pushed the Envelope
The Left is waging a cultural revolution against traditional America, resulting in absurd and terrifying Maoist tactics. Special-counsel John Durham's report confirms interference in the 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, with high-ranking FBI officials lying under oath and deceiving federal judges. Meanwhile, California flirts with an $800 billion-dollar "reparations" payout to selected Black residents, with no idea where the money would come from and unable to define who would qualify, and companies are destroying their brands under pressure from LGBTQ activists. Breitbart: 'The Most Unfair Election': Turkish Opposition Laments Defeat to Erdogan
'The Most Unfair Election': Turkish Opposition Laments Defeat to Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the country's runoff election, marking his third decade in power. Opposition leaders questioned the validity of the election, citing intimidation and the misuse of state media and funds. While some opposition figures offered congratulations, many stuck by their criticism of Erdogan's record on issues such as the economy and the influx of Syrian refugees. Pro-Kurdish leader Selahattin Demirtas, currently imprisoned, condemned the election as "manipulated." The opposition coalition also pledged to continue to oppose Erdogan's policies in the legislature.

National Review: The Corner: Merkel’s Medal
The Corner: Merkel’s Medal
Angela Merkel was awarded Germany's highest civilian honor, the Grand Cross of Merit first class, special issue. Despite her mishandling of the refugee crisis and euro-zone mess, Merkel was called the "indispensable European" by The Economist and was named Time magazine's Person of the Year. However, Merkel's wilful blindness towards Russia's invasion of Ukraine, her trade with China, and her push towards unreliable renewables has left Germany dangerously dependent on Russia and China, making it a strategic error in her foreign policy.

The American Spectator: To Hell With the Universities
To Hell With the Universities
The future of affirmative action in higher education is being decided by the Supreme Court. The injustice of this policy has been upheld for too long, but striking it down will only begin a much more difficult fight, as universities have become breeding grounds for liberal policies and the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda. Even if affirmative action ends, universities will find other ways to practice discrimination, such as using diversity statements and discriminating against conservative applicants. In the long run, it is questionable whether it is worth improving the competence of such a hostile institution as the liberal arts university system.

Front Page Magazine: Major League Censorship
Major League Censorship
Major League Baseball (MLB) has censored footage of anti-ownership banners during a broadcast following the Oakland Athletics’ decision to buy land for a stadium in Las Vegas, and the team’s inability to reach an agreement for a new stadium in the Bay Area. While the original footage was restored after some social media backlash, the incident highlights the trend of brand protection through censorship. The Los Angeles Angels have also introduced a policy of screening reporters’ questions, rejecting some deemed too negative or critical, which is reminiscent of the use of a “cheat sheet” for President Biden in news conferences to protect him from difficult questions.
