How Major Media Outlets Suppressed My COVID Journalism
The COVID-19 pandemic has left an indelible mark on society, with the corruption of institutional bodies like the FDA, CDC, and Big Pharma being exposed. Journalism has also been exposed for its servility to public health decrees and pharmaceutical companies. The author, a journalist with a history of exploring racial issues, found himself facing unprecedented editorial censorship when he began questioning vaccine mandates. Editors from both liberal and conservative-leaning media outlets refused to run his pro-bodily autonomy and medical freedom pieces, stating their outlets were "pro-vaccine" and didn't want to promote "vaccine hesitancy", leading him to start on a new, independent venture, The Illusion of Consensus.

Poll: 4 in 10 Say Congress Should Begin Impeachment Proceedings on Biden
A Rasmussen survey found 42% of likely voters believe Congress should impeach President Joe Biden, but most think it's unlikely. Republicans overwhelmingly support impeachment, while Democrats do not. Independents are divided. More than half of all voters believe it's at least somewhat likely that Biden has committed impeachable offenses, with one-third of Democrats agreeing. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has announced articles of impeachment, citing Biden's lack of border security. The White House dismissed the announcement as a "shameless sideshow political stunt."

More Bad News for Fox News: Petition to Remove Network from the Air Moves Forward
Egale Canada, a gay-rights organisation, has called for Fox News to be dropped from Canadian cable packages due to comments made by former host Tucker Carlson regarding the transgender community, despite Tucker having already been fired. Egale Canada claimed that Carlson’s “coverage aimed to provoke hatred and violence against 2SLGBTQI communities”. On 6 May, Yahoo News reported that public consultations would be held by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to decide the matter - Canadian broadcasting standards have been accused of being breached by Fox News. This is not just an idle threat as Canada has heavily regulated broadcasters through its limitation of foreign ownership to 20% unless within certain circumstances.

The Epoch Times: ‘Looking for Canada’: RCMP’s Musical Ride Steeped in Tradition as Force Turns 150
‘Looking for Canada’: RCMP’s Musical Ride Steeped in Tradition as Force Turns 150
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is celebrating 150 years and a century of the RCMP Musical Ride, which sees Mounties performing a horsey ballet in iconic scarlet jackets. RCMP members undertake highly competitive training at stables in Ottawa, while the horses also pass through an extensive training process and build relationships with their riders. The Musical Ride horses were various different colours until former Commissioner Stuart Wood ordered that only black ones should be used, after going to the coronation of King George VI, where he liked how the Life Guards’ red jackets contrasted against their black horses. The RCMP established a breeding program in Regina in 1939, selecting black horses for their size and temperament, in 1968 it was moved to its present location, and horses that don’t make the cut for the Musical Ride are auctioned off.

The Epoch Times: The Founders and the Constitution, Part 10: Gouverneur Morris
The Founders and the Constitution, Part 10: Gouverneur Morris
Gouverneur Morris was a founding father who played a key role in drafting the US Constitution. He was a "high nationalist" who favored a centralized government with almost unlimited power and a single chief executive. Although his ideas were largely rejected, Morris authored several clauses of the Constitution and helped shape the presidency and the system of government we have today. He was also a champion of women's rights, eliminating the sole remaining reference to "men" in the Constitution and ensuring that women could participate in national politics if their states so decided.

The Epoch Times: New Cancer Diagnoses Fell Significantly Amid Pandemic Restrictions in 2020: Statistics Canada
New Cancer Diagnoses Fell Significantly Amid Pandemic Restrictions in 2020: Statistics Canada
The pandemic caused a drop in the detection rate of cancer in Canada, with fewer people diagnosed despite more than 140,000 new cases reported to the Canadian Cancer Registry. Statistics Canada attributed the decline to the lockdowns and travel restrictions implemented in 2020. Screening services disruptions, problems accessing primary care and fewer in-person appointments all had an impact on the registration of new cases. Men were more affected than women, with diagnosis rates down 13.2% compared to a year earlier. Among the most commonly diagnosed cancers in Canada, breast, lung and prostate were all significantly lower than the average rate from 2015 to 2019.

Williams: W.H.O. Warns of 9 Million More Annual Deaths from Climate Change
The W.H.O. warns rising temperatures could lead to over 9 million additional deaths each year by the end of the century, making climate change one of the greatest health challenges. However, weather-related deaths have decreased steadily year by year, and more people die from cold weather than heat. The W.H.O. risks further erosion of its credibility by hitching its wagon to the scientifically suspect theories of climate alarmists.

The Epoch Times: In the 'Wild West' of AI Health Care, These 4 Things Could Go Very Wrong
In the 'Wild West' of AI Health Care, These 4 Things Could Go Very Wrong
Americans are skeptical of artificial intelligence (AI), despite the United States leading the world in AI investment. AI investment is being led by private industry, rather than academia, and incidents of ethical misuse have increased significantly. The field of AI is growing exponentially, particularly in healthcare, with AI systems being released each month that have significant potential to revolutionize medical care. However, the reliability of AI is questionable due to its reliance on data that may be biased or incomplete, and the need for AI to be transparent and understandable is crucial to ensure that it can be trusted.
